Andy was born on August 6, 1928. He died on February 22 1987.
Training And Development Andy studied commercial art at the
School Of Fine Arts at Carnegie Institute Of Technology in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is now called Carnegie Mellon University.
Style And Techniques Style- Andy Warhol's style is to paint
American Products and there Celebrities.
Techniques- Some of his techniques where: Take a picture and screen print it, painting, drawing.
Interesting point 1 Andy Warhol is the first person to make
American products high art in an art gallery.
Interesting Point 2 Did you know that on June 3, 1968 Andy Warhol, a
art critic and a curator (Mario Amaya) were shot in Andy’s studio by Valerie Solanas. This was caused because the factory turned down Solanas, because she wanted one of her scrip's back, but they said no. Therefore she got angry and shot them. Later on Solanas had minor injuries, but Andy was in severally injured.(surgeons had to open his chest and massaged his heart to help its movement again.)From then on Andy suffered physical effects for the rest of the live. But no one cared because two days later Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated!
Interesting point 3 He was criticized for a lot of things and
one is for being a business artist.
Appeal 1 I picked him because I like the way he
was thinking when he thought of making art out of American products.
Appeal 2 I like Andy Warhol because when he
got shot and was in the hospital he fought for his live.
Appeal 3 I like Andy because he did a lot of
screen prints.
