Interesting factsInteresting facts• Anesthesiologists are amongst the highest paid doctors, often earni

ng more than $200,000 per year.• They in Kentucky make an average of $217,160 while in Maine they

make $318,485 • The Founder of the anesthesiologist was a Chinese surgeon china.

One day Hua Tuo a famous surgeon did some surgery on a boy the boy’s arm, the arm had to be cut off. By the end the surgery the boy was screaming in pain. Hua Tuo felt bad. His next patient was a teenager that got drunk from drinking beer and fell into a ditch with his leg injured. His leg got cut off. During the whole surgery he was deep asleep. Hua Tuo studied carefully why that teenager never felt pain. He discovered that in beer, alcohol, and wine there was a special substance that gave numbness. He named it anesthesia. He took out that substance and used it during surgery. People followed what he did and they were the first anesthesiologists.

• Many people think Anesthesiologists just give anesthesia to make their patient unconscious then twitch their thumbs and wait for the patient to wakeup. No!!!!!!!!!!! When the patient is unconscious they check their heart beat, body temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, and breathing, make sure the anesthesia is doing its job well, surgery isn’t being affected by the anesthesia. Even make sure the patient isn’t killed by surgery or is dying.

each career is special in its own way. The high paying jobs are very hard, risky, and need lots training while the low paying jobs are easy and need less training
