This is a portfolio book of work byAngel Liu, with projects made while at the University of Utah studying for a BFA in graphic design.

BriefDesign a a coffee to-go cup & a coffee bean bag for a coffee brand including the logo.
Target customer age: 20 ~ 35.Name: Slingshot Coffee or 801 Coffee. Styles : needs to be bold, fun, urban.
The Slingshot coffee brandconcept is fun, bold & young, urban.
The bold stacking of the typeface plus one bright yellow spot color shows bold & fun. The modern typeface reminds people of urban.
Here are the logo concepts, icons, and the business card design with the same style.
Final Execution of Packaging
Design concept 801 coffee
This is the design concept for the cof-fee design option named 801 coffee.
The bright colors and contemporary feeling of the use of geometric shapes implies the “fun, young & bright” con-cept of the coffee shop.
Makeup Series Packaging
The Jollie packaging image uses scanned in ink hand illustration and colored in photoshop.
The lipstick packaging is designed with a patterned paper board used to support and slide the lipstick out. It’s an easy-take-out technique.

The publication ‘‘A Hole of Poems’’ is a poem books that gathered 3 of my favorite poems from 6 of my favorite poem books.
The illustrations inside the book are all hand done with ink. Some corresponding to the poemcontent itself.

This is a digital illustration piece done for starbucks coffee.
The whole piece is digitally done drawn by hand in photoshop.
For this project we are expected to design an app that tends to solve a social problem.
This app is called “Location Aid”. It is designed for people to find donation location easily.

After selected the catagory, the app will show you where you can donate. And it will show you the map which can guide you to it, with details of what the store also accept.

Participated in designing & developing 4+ client-based projects, varies from packaging to poster design. One of the projects with refinements more than 20 times was chosen by the client over the senior designer’s design.
Created a series of 15+ icon impressions for each company members for social media use with a consistent style of digital illustration.Participated in 3+ client-based projects creating billboards, banners, wayfinding signs & brochure within the guideline of the senior designer.Created side designs of thank you card, invitation cards & welcome banners for the company.

Hello, I’m a graphic designer & illustrator. I just graduated with a Graphic Design BA from the University of Utah. I’ve been creating visual artworks since I was young & am passionate about illustration, packaging & visual designs.
