Getting ready to be a trainer:• Study Biology or

Psychology in college.• Get experience working

with animals.• Get in shape - swimming

& physical testing.• Practice public speaking.• Be persistent - continue

learning and don’t give up!

Marine Animal Trainer Test• Swim to the bottom of

the 28 foot tank.• Swim 90 feet from one

end of the pool to the other in one breath.

• Carry two 30 pound buckets of water.

• Do 30 pushups & sit-ups.• Read a script to practice

public speaking.• Dive off the stage tower.

Daily duties:

• Preparing food for each animal for the day.

• Cleaning the animal’s home.

• Planning “sessions” for each animal.

• Teaching new behaviors to the animal.
