It is a very intelligent bird and can easily be taught to speak

THE WHITE FACED CAPUCHIN MONKEY

The White Faced Monkey is the smallest monkey found in Honduras weighing 2.5-3.5 kilograms or 5.5-8 pounds.

These monkeys are very social animals and can be found in groups of 2-25.

Its diets consists of fruits, leaves, flowers, small insects and birds’ eggs

They are found in the tropical and dry forests of eastern central Honduras.

JAGUAR The Jaguar is the largest

carnivore found in Central America.

They are good swimmers and climbers.

Its diet consists of monkeys, deer, fish, turtles and other animals.

They usually live alone except during the mating season in August to September.

The cubs stay with the mother They have been hunted

intensively due to the high value of their pelt. The hunting has stopped, but they’re still endangered because of development and deforestation.

Jaguars can run up to 65 miles per hour.

ARMADILLO There are twenty different

species of Armadillos. Nineteen species live in Latin America.

In Spanish Armadillo means “little armored one”.

Armadillos have bony plates that cover the back, head, and tail. They are the only animals that have these.

Armadillos diet consists of beetles, termites, and other insects.

They live in temperate and warm habitats.

Armadillos need about 16 hours of sleep a day.

COYOTE Coyotes grow to be between 28-

38 inches and weigh between 20-35 pounds.

They can reach up to 40 miles per hour when running.

They usually live in open wood lands and prairies

Coyotes hunt and live alone in pairs, or in small family groups.

Their diet consists of small mammals, frogs, snakes, insects, fish, and fruit.
