Christine has been fascinated with the medium of photography since she was a young girl. The idea of capturing that moment in time, forever being able to look through the window of the photo and see that scene again inspires her to look through the camera and try and save a little piece of the world around her.

Her studio is located in Hafford at 106-2nd Ave West.

Colorful flowers, shady lawns and mosaic murals welcome visitors to this country studio. Doreen teaches and works in a variety of media. Her works range in size from miniature paintings to large-scale murals, which decorate the interior of her studio as well as the com-munities of Blaine Lake and Marcelin. While humor and narrative invite the viewer to enjoy the characters in her portraits, her still life and landscapes clearly establish a nostalgic mood. Functional artworks in the form of mosaic tables, painted chairs, decorative canvas floor mats as well as a variety of paintings, art cards and art prints add to the colorful display. Snacks and beverages are available on site.

Located 5 km north of Blaine Lake on Hwy 40, 1 km east on Town-ship Road 452, south 1.5 km. Open year round by appointment.

Florence has had a life-long fascination with unique fabrics, dyes, textures, patterns and handmade clothing. Her display will focus on bags, batiks, seasonal pieces and artwork in a variety of media.

Stitches and Treasures

Donna Thompson (306) 549-4020 Stitching and colours have been a passion that Donna pursues with flare. Over the years she has worked in many mediums and techniques producing doilies, cross-stitch pictures, fisherman knit sweaters, teddy bears, table runners and quilts. Recently she has expanded to include stained glass in cement; a new way to “stitch” her colours together. These little gems are all treasures to behold.

Located in Hafford at Unique Creations Studio.

Sylvia enjoys doing various projects in her spare time, creating pieces that can be enjoyed in the outdoors. Her painted terracotta pots can be seen throughout her backyard garden and on her back deck. She uses a one stroke technique to create flowers, grass, bugs, and other outdoor creatures and plants for her whimsical pieces. Her most recent endeavours include working with stained glass and making “garden spirits”. Most of her stained glass crea-tions are designs that she has drawn herself, or variations of pat-terns that catch her eye. While visiting this venue, take a quiet stroll around her back yard or enjoy the peacefulness of the many sitting areas. Lunch will be available.

Located at 8 – Hwy 340 in Hafford, SK.

Producing all of Pat‟s denim creations isn‟t an easy task. Everything is done from scratch, from cutting up the old blue jeans to completing the final details. The comfy denim/fleece moccasin slipper is her most popular seller. Pat takes pride in turning out a well produced product, often noted by her customers.

Her display room, at 204-2nd Ave North in Marcelin, is open year round by appointment.

Connie enjoys creating something special, useable and sometimes different from a hide of leather whether it is soft tanned or carving leather. Connie has worked with leather most of her life and enjoys making her own patterns. She designs and makes a variety of items from mitts and slippers to tack and chaps. She also paints on culti-vator shovels, cream cans, old windows and rocks to create „garden art‟.

Her works range in size from miniature paintings to large-scale murals, which decorate the interior of her studio as well as the communities of Blaine Lake and Marcelin and leask. Snacks and b e v e r a g e s a r e available on site.

Florence has had a life-long fascination with unique fabrics, dyes, textures, patterns and handmade clothing. Her display will focus on bags, batiks, seasonal pieces and artwork in a variety of media.

Karen is a dynamic, experienced photographer. Her passion is to photograph nature capturing local flora, wildlife and landscape. While experiencing the peace and calm of nature, she freely creates art at a leisurely pace. Her preferred technique is to shoot in natural light and compose within the lens. One of Karen’s most influential photography experiences was a photographers’ safari in Kenya, East Africa. Her travels heightened her awareness to capture animals in the camera lens, and led to a deeper appreciation of wildlife in our Saskatchewan backyard. Karen’s artwork is available in various forms-including note cards, canvas prints and unframed prints. Photography from her safari is available for viewing.

Her works range in size from miniature paintings to large-scale murals, which decorate the interior of her studio as well as the communities of Blaine Lake and Marcelin and leask. Snacks and b e v e r a g e s a r e available on site.

Taking a year leave of absence

Christine has been fascinated with the medium of photography since she was a young girl. The idea of capturing that moment in time, forever being able to look through the window of the photo and see that scene again inspires her to look through the camera and try and save a little piece of the world around her.

Her studio is located in Hafford at 106-2nd Ave West.

Colorful flowers, shady lawns and mosaic murals welcome visitors to this country studio. Doreen teaches and works in a variety of media. Her works range in size from miniature paintings to large-scale murals, which decorate the interior of her studio as well as the communities of Blaine Lake and Marcelin and leask. Snacks and b e v e r a g e s a r e available on site.

Florence has had a life-long fascination with unique fabrics, dyes, textures, patterns and handmade clothing. Her display will focus on bags, batiks, seasonal pieces and artwork in a variety of media.

Located at Spirit of the Prairie Art and Teaching Studio.

Snacks and b e v e r a g e s a r e available on site.
