Both, Anna Berg and Aris Weathersby, are natives of Southern
California. Their love of music at a young age drove them both to pursue music careers.
Anna has been singing for as long as she can remember, growing up in numerous choral groups, and pop and rock bands, but always having an undeniable interest in jazz music. As a lead singer she has performed at venues, such as, The House of Blues, The Whisky A Go-Go and The Mint. Finding influence from singers such as Ella Fitzgerald, Natalie Cole, and Sara Bareilles, Anna has developed her own voice with a charming pop sensibility. She is currently studying at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA, working toward a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance.
Aris started playing guitar at the age of twelve and hasn’t stopped. Gaining a real interest in jazz just a few years ago, Aris has been chasing the fine art of making an audience swing ever since. He has found influence from great players such as, Joe Pass, George Benson and Jimi Hendrix. Their three distinct styles have shaped Aris’ versatile approach to the guitar. He is currently working towards his Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA.
Anna & Aris formed their duo in November 2014, and have been constantly working and performing to share their sound with audiences as far as they could reach. They released a self-titled EP this earlier this year, and they are currently recording a new album to be released soon. Their passion for jazz is irrefutable in their performances and they are incredibly excited to continue to share their music with the world.
