Denis PennelMr Denis Pennel will talk to you about his view on aligning the workplace to the new work-force. Technology is enabling a global future of work, which is changing the dynamics of employment models. The move towards the future of work is happening quicker and more widely than you think. He believes that employment and recruitment services can play an important role as labour markets become more complex and diverse. He will discuss in detail role in which recruitment and employment agencies can play.

Marc De VosProf. Marc de Vos will explain why he believes it is difficult to create growth, but at the same time why the potential for growth has never been higher. The world economy has a lot of issues to face, but the world is diverse and full of opportunities. He will discuss the importance technologicaladvances are having on the HR -industry and how HR is key to a lot of the success stories which have to be written. He hopes to convince you that the fu-ture of HR is bright if we take the correct steps.

Scala After the inspiring keynote speaker Kjell Nordström, we could enjoy a nice gala dinner. We finished the day with a beautiful performance of Scala. After a big success-ful tour in America, it seems that also more and more Asian countries are falling under the charm of the music of Scala & Kolacny Brothers, the girls choir from Aarschot in Belgium. Soon they will give concerts in Signapore and South Korea. We were proud to have them among us yesterday.

"Act what you preach"What will be your main focus during your presidency?The focus will be to implement the new Ciett strategic plan which our members approved yesterday. I believe this strategic plan will get Ciett to the next level. If I look at that plan its implementation is clear to me.We need more alignment in our membership, but also more alignment in the stories we tell. We have good data, but we need to tell our individual stories which are based on the passion and the emotion of all the good things we do for the labour market. We need a membership base that is more representative of the whole HR services industry. We need to build a council of HR services, like the Federgon model which is totally inspiring to us. Once this is achieved we then need compliance. You have to act what you preach. To be compliant with law we have to be sure that our code of conduct is current and up-to-date. It will be our executive board of seven people who will make sure our strategic plan is implemented correctly.

What have you learned from the keynote speakers on thursday?They were all inspiring. I want to congratulate Federgon with the fine organisation of this conference. The conference is very content driven. I have learnt that there are many important

trends facing our industry, like globalisation, aging, etc. I believe that one of the most important trends, which was mentioned by several speakers, is that we need to embrace the digital world. We need to embrace all the new features of the human cloud technology. Once we embrase these new opportunities it will allow the industry to regain the momentum.

Your opinion: what will be the biggest challenge to survive in the new world of work?

Time is scars and organisers and delegates alike need to ensure that the conferences and events they are attending are really adding value. By getting realtime interaction and feedback from delegates organisers can ensure that everyone gets the maximum value from the events that they are attending.

What has been your role during the preparations towards the Ciett 2014 conference?

We have enjoyed working closely with the teams from Federgon, CIETT and their partners in designing the delegate interaction experience at the 2014 conference that really allows all delegates to participate in the discussions that are taking place. This has ranged from determining the right questions to ask and then integrating our technology into the agenda in a seamless way. The insights that our data will deliver during and after the event will be the real measure of success for our participation in this years conference.

What did you think of the first day of the event? Do HR professionals actively participate in the voting?

The conference has been wonderful so far and I am very happy with the audience interaction today. We were delighted with the response to our QnA system and have seen time and again that professionals from every industry have a thirst for knowledge and are always happy to sharing their thoughts with their colleagues.

Do you have any suggestions for Charles McTate? Any idea how he can find Mr Dài Zou?

I think that if he really sets his mind to it he will come up with a few tips and tools that can help him in his search but the trick is to always be looking just as we need to always innovate within our businesses in order to stay ahead.
