How Does the Interfaith Community Address Our Country in a Time of Stress?

We’re Glad You’re Here! We invite all to sign the red Friendship Pad that is at the end of each pew and pass it down your row. Prayer requests may be listed on the yellow pew cards. Pass them to the inside aisle for collection during the first hymn.

Is This Your First Visit with Us? We have a gift for first-time worshipers on the Welcome Table in the Narthex (foyer). Ushers can provide large print hymnals and hearing devices. Ask them for a Kid’s Pack and Children’s Bulletin as well as directions to the Nursery, or to our newly renovated balcony Family Room.

Would you like a name tag? Just fill out a pink form from the Connect board in the foyer/narthex.

The Flowers on the Altar are given to the Glory of God by Daphne and Brent Miller.

The White Roses on the Altar celebrate the life of Richard Riggs Todd, who died January 31, father of Joni Todd Gallegos, grandfather of Lili and Isa Gallegos. A white rose also celebrates the life of Ruth Meade, who died February 7.

Remember with Prayers: Each week in worship and at our church staff meetings

we lift up the prayer requests that are submitted. You may also contact the church office with your prayer requests.

Lenten Creation Care Calendar As we move into the season of Lent, the Caretakers of God's Creation team invites you to reflect deeply on how we can live simply and sustainably. We believe that God made the good earth to sustain and delight us and that we are called to take care of it. May this Lenten calendar guide you on that journey. You will find copies on the tables in the narthex/foyer, on the

Connect boards and in the Quick Links Menu of www.fairlingtonumc.org.

What gifts has God given you at FUMC? Share your story about what you give and what being part of our church has given to you. Post on Facebook, or send a message to Jenn Ayers [email protected].

Confirmation is a time in the life of the church where we prepare our young people to become professing members of Fairlington United Methodist Church. Lenten Special Offering 2018 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. (John 13: 14-15)

Won’t you share the abundance God has given you during this season of reflection? This special offering provides an opportunity to give and support the many ways this congregation chooses to serve. These mission funds go towards service and assistance through such places as: our missionary in Cambodia, Ms. Clara Biswas, the Society of St. Andrew for hunger relief, and Caring for God’s Creation ministries. This year’s goal is to raise $15,000.
