From the Principal's Desk
Dr. (Ms.) Anula Maurya
Dear Students,
Kalindi College, an institution of academic excellence, was established in 1967 in a school building. It has maintained its position as one of the finest college in the University of Delhi. We believe in providing our students an environment that is rich in knowledge and supportive of their extra-curricular interests. No system can succeed unless it is supported and carried forward by its teachers. I feel proud to acknowledge the contribution of our highly qualified, dynamic and multi-talented faculty. It is extremely important that administrative staff, teachers and young students should join hands together to move ahead for producing and maintaining the high standards. I strongly believe - "Trust yourself because you are the source of limitless energy and imagination" We believe that education transforms humans profoundly. According to Nelson Mandela, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you use to change the world”. We strive to nurture the future leaders of our nation to not only excel in Education but also inculcate Social values as emphasized by Mandela and other great eminent leaders. This is a more holistic and comprehensive approach to education which infuses students with both human values and professional ethics. To realize our objectives, each member of Kalindi strives to achieve excellence in every avenue whether it is education, research, counseling or training; they believe in making unwavering and persistent endeavors in pedagogy and allied activities. I am confident that the Kalindi College NCWEB students, faculty and staff of Kalindi would be the harbingers of excellence in our country.

Director’s Message
Dr.(Ms.) Anju Gupta Education is an indispensable part of our social order for it empowers individuals to realize their full potential and maximize their contribution to the society. I believe that students must never stop expanding the horizons of their knowledge, and prevent self-doubt from infiltrating the fertile pastures of their minds. However, in this day and age of blatant disrespect and discrimination against women, imparting education to all our girls becomes all the more pertinent. Education engenders rationality in thought and practice; a virtue I believe, which is of paramount importance in the way women perceive themselves. Further, it opens up new windows to the world and familiarizing them to realities far away from their physical reach. It empowers one to contribute, both in personal as well as social surroundings, thus gaining respect and confidence. To that end, NCWEB is an institution which sets an example to be followed, as it has widened the ambit of education for women. It meets the need of the hour, as it opens new doors for girls so far devoid of the option of being educated. The Board expresses appreciation to the Teacher-in-charge of the Teaching Centres, for their incessant support and guidance to the students. The fact, that many of our students work for a living during the weekdays, the good academic results by them, and their participation in diverse activities at the Centres, becomes even more commendable. I, on behalf of NCWEB, convey my heartiest congratulations to all the students and the faculty members. I hope that during my term as the Director, this institution reaches greater heights and explores new paradigms. We, at NCWEB, will forever endeavor to inch closer and closer to our final objective of empowering the young girls of Delhi, with the help, support and guidance of the University authorities.

Teacher in-charge’s Message
Ms. Vandana Rani Expressions to inherent and nurtured qualities possessed are possible through oral and written means. The communications among human beings are always by these means but sometimes may transcend these verbal or sensory means but can occur at intuitive and unspoken manner. The kind of world we live in need to dwell upon these expressions in speech or through written material. I take this as opportunity to thank our respected Principal Dr. Anula Maurya for having faith in me and giving me opportunity to work coordinator of the Kalindi College NCWEB Centre. I thank Dr. Anju Gupta, Director NCWEB, University of Delhi for her incessant inspiration and kind support in all sphere. On the behalf of Kalindi College NCWEB Centre I expressed my great gratitude towards the students of the Centre for getting their first magazine published named ‘Arkaja’ with their core hearted effort. Being a coordinator of the Centre it is my fundamental duty to provide them such a safe and good environment so the girls can achieve their entire endeavor through quality education. The Centre always tries to maintain balance between study and all other co-curricular activities those are really useful for them to develop their all-round personality. Succeeding in life is as simple as being a good student. All you have to do is pay attention, work hard and give it your best shot. My Best Wishes!!! Teacher-in Charge
