The Secretary welcomed the attendees to the AGM of the European Chamber of Commerce, Singapore.

2. Approval of Minutes of Annual General Meeting 2018
The minutes of the AGM held on 22nd of Martch 2018 were unanimously approved.
3. Annual Report March 2018 – March 2019 (article 7.II (a) (i))
Mr Federico Donato started with highlighting the achievements of the 3 year Strategic Direction plan as presented at the AGM 2018. There has been a successful execution of the strategic plan for year 1 and year 2: Year1 : • rephrased Vision/Mission • Priority focus strategy on membership tier group 1 • Starting 3 new committees • 2 Events/year with NBGs • Invest in media/PR strategy • Invest resources in Marketing/Branding plan (website, social media platforms, revamped
magazine) • Investing resources in new CRM/accountancy software Year 2: • Enlarging EUCHAM base: CEEC Project • A 3rd flagship event • Continue focus strategy on membership tier group 1, and opening to tier group 2 • Start 4 new committees • 3 Events/year with NBGs • Continue invest in media/PR strategy • Continue invest in Marketing/Branding plan • Relocate to a new office

Mr Donato continued with an overview of the Chambers achievements in the last year. He highlighted the successes of 2018 and how the Chamber’s activities have generated more meaningful relations in public and private sectors and attracted more participants to its activities. Mr Donato proceeded with an overview of the events and activities in 2018. i. Flagship Events Mr Donato first highlighted the success of the 6th ASEAN-EU Business Summit jointly organized with the EU-ASEAN Business Council and the Singapore Business Federation. The summit saw a turnout of 330 participants, 6 ASEAN ministers and the EU Trade Commissioner in the lineup of speakers. A surplus of 86K will be split in three equal parts as per the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that was signed. Mr Donato also mentioned Europe Day Luncheon 2018 held on 4th of May, with newly appointed Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr Chan Chun Sing as the keynote speaker and Guest-of-Honour. The event received 180 guests, inclusive diplomats and government officials and made a 26K profit. He continued with featuring the launch of the Schuman Business Talk event series with Mr Marcus Wallenberg as the first keynote speaker. This first edition, which was held in partnership with the Swedish Chamber of Commerce on 3rd of June. Mr Donato proceeded to highlight the successes of Outreach event on 18th of November 2018 at the Grand Hyatt. This event was a collaboration between the European Chamber of Commerce (EuroCham), The Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore (MTI), Singapore Business Federation (SBF), European Union Delegation to Singapore, Enterprise Singapore. Ms Cornelis also pointed out the popularity of the European Networking Nights, which has brought the Chamber good visibility. ii. Committees Next, Mr Donato delivered an update of EuroCham’s committees. In summary, ● a total of 36 committee meetings were held in the period March 2017 to March 2018 ● The following position papers were conducted: one by the Financial Services Committee and
another one by the HR committee ● One Survey was conducted on Manpower ● Fourteen closed door dialogues were organized with government agencies. ● One Singapore budget 2018 submission to Ministry of Finance (MOF)

Mr Donato made special mention of the following committee highlights: ● Product training session with Singapore Customs ● Legislative sharing with National Environment Agency (NEA) on mandatory packaging reporting
legislation ● Dialogue with Manpower Minister Josephone Teo ● SARD #HowMuchIsTooMuch responsible drinking campaign with SNBA ● An analysis of RCEP and its impact on businesses and economies” by Dr Deborah Elms, Executive
Director, Asian Trade Centre ● Cyber security panel debates with SWIFT, Grab
These selected committee-driven activities reflect the growing and deepening collaboration between EuroCham and a large number of key local and foreign agencies. Among EuroCham’s stakeholders are: MTI, MOM, EDB, NTUC, WSG, IMDA, Singapore Police, AVPN, NEA, AVA, Singapore Tourism Board, MEWR, Health Promotion Board, MOH, OMFIF Following that, Mr Donato presented to the assembly key meetings with EU institutions, local and regional government representatives, reflecting EuroCham’s role as interlocutor of choice He continued with a line-up of the advocacy work of EuroCham in favor of theEU- Singapore Free Trade Agreement. Among these activities was a meeting with EU Member of Parliament in Singapore, a breakfast dialogue with 14 MEPs in Singapore, a mission to Brussels to meet key people at EU Commission and EU Parliament, the facilitation of a statement letter signed by 13 NBGs and EuroCham, a presentation at an in-camera & INTA Meetings at EU Parliament in Brussels.
Moving on, Mr Donato, informed the electorate of EuroCham’s revamped communication platforms, which include digital platforms such as: website, eDMs, e-Newsletter and social media channels (i.e. Twitter, LinkedIn). An annual magazine (1500 copies) is also published at the beginning of each year. A new logo, new brand colors and the revamp of all communication tools have been launched. He also mentioned the success of the November madness campaign that attracted 12 new members. Mr Donato informed the guests about theproject “ Central East European Chamber (CEEC). He explained that CEEC Singapore’s governance is to comprise of a Governance Board of CEE companies and individuals; as well as an Advisory Board made up of diplomatic rep. or other notable individuals, with genuine interests in CEEC’s activities. Once the CEEC is endorsed by ROS it will operate independently. Ms Donato proceeded to thank all our sponsors and advertisers of 2018 for their generous support. He also expressed thanks and gratitude to the EU Delegation of Singapore for their continuous support and thanked specially EuroCham’s patrons, EU H.E. Barbara Plinkert. He also made special mention of the various Singaporean government agencies that EuroCham has been working with via the committees so far.
iii. Membership

Mr Asger Daugbjerg, treasurer, informed the electorate of a decrease of membership between 2017 and 2018 with a nett loss of 12 memberships. Mr Daugbjerg thanked for the support of the National Business Groups and the Chamber’s esteemed Gold Members. Mr Daugbjerg moved on to welcome six new Gold Members into the community: Vodafone, Ipsen Pharma, LBEBW, BNP Paribas, Accenture, Credit Suisse.
4. Approval of Financial Report year ending 31st December 2018 and appointment of Auditors for
the Financial Year 2019
Treasurer, Mr Daugbjerg commented that EuroCham continues to maintain a healthy balance in terms of finances and has been working to ensure the financial sustainability and health of the Chamber. The financial statements for the year 2018 were duly approved. The Auditor’s opinion was noted underlining the fact that financial statements of the Chamber are properly drawn in accordance with the provisions of the Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.
A hard copy of the audit report 2018 was made available to the participants at the beginning of the meeting, at the registration desk. Moving on, the Treasurer proposed to re-appoint Mazars as EuroCham’s auditors for the financial year 2019. This proposal was approved.
5. Approval of Budget 2019
Treasurer, Mr Daugbjerg presented the Budget for 2019 as outlined in Annex A. The budget for 2019 was unanimously approved by the electorate. 6. Annual Report: Governance
Mrs Nele Cornelis, Executive Director proceeded with a short presentation on the current governing board of EuroCham. Mrs Nele Cornelis informed the members of the following: ● Between March 2018 - March 2019, 8 Board meetings were held ● Regular coordination meetings with Executive Directors of NBGs (information sharing,
updates, collaborate on common projects, discuss issues of common interest, quarterly meetings)

The members of the electorate with legal voting right and with legal voting right through proxy were invited to submit their vote with a secret ballot to elect the 5 corporate representatives to hold mandate in the Board of Governors for the period 2019-2021. Afterwards the following results were exposed to the electorate:

Ms Cornelis delivered an update on EuroCham’s upcoming events. Europe Day Luncheon 2019 This flagship event will be held on 3rd May 2019 at Grand Hyatt. The guest of honour and key note speaker is confirmed to be Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat. Prior to the luncheon, a closed-door session with the DP Minister has been scheduled.
