AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Oversees Contracts on Maintenance on the following Community Areas: Swimming Pool Maintenance Rec Center / Pavilion Maintenance

Cleaning of Facilities Pest Control Service of Facilities

Mowing and Maintenance of Common Grounds of Community

• Facilitates requests for member usage of the Pavilion for gatherings

2012 Activity• Removed 8 dead trees from Rec Center Grounds to

prevent damage to the facilities and members alike• Re-mulched playground area with Kiddie Mulch to

provide for a safe environment• Brought uniformity to Corner Planter Boxes

including the building of 3 planters at missing locations

• Replaced all the American Flags at each Corner Planter Box (this will need to be done annually)

• Re-worked / re-placed plantings at the entrance and marquee monuments

• Initiated a contract for quarterly pest control services for the Rec Center

• Re-negotiated the Grounds Maintenance Contract with Red Oak Services for a cost savings to VHMR

• Wrought Iron Fencing at the rec center was repaired and repainted

2013 Foresight& Expenditures• Additional Trees will need to be removed from Rec

Center Grounds • American Flags at each Corner Planter Box will

need to be replaced• Several Pool Lights will need to be replaced and

possibly re-wired• New Umbrellas will need to be purchased.

NOTE:ALL HOMEOWNERS SHOULD SHARE IN THIS RESPONSIBILITY AND HELP KEEP THE UMBRELLAS LOWERED WHEN NOT IN USE!

• Rec Center furniture and signage will be monitored through the year and addressed as needed

• Entrance and Marquee Monuments will need to be cleaned and repainted

WHAT IS THE ACC

• Committee that reviews all “improvements” All buildings and roofed structures Parking areas Fences, walls, hedges Driveways Swimming pools Changes in exterior color or shape Any other new exterior construction or improvement

• “Improvement” does NOT include: Garden, tree or shrub replacement Normal replacement or repair that does not change

exterior colors or appearances

GOALS OF ACC

•Fairly and uniformly review applications to insure proposal complies with Deed Restrictions

•Complete reviews in reasonable time (typically 1-2 weeks, 60 days maximum)

•Variances granted only for compelling reasons

• Several large realtor/builder signs removed (only tube signs allowed)

• Builders required to remove mud in street during construction of 2 homes

• Fine schedule added to Builders Package

neighborhood patrol• Security system at the recreation center• Controlling access at pool and tennis

courts• Neighborhood special projects relating

to security• Work with Neighborhood Watch as

needed

CONSTABLE PATROL•Contract for 40 hours per month•Patrol days vary•Hours vary from 6:00AM to 9:00 PM•Time of day for patrol varies•Average about 20 traffic stops per

month with some warrant arrests, suspicious vehicles and suspicious people
