Institution is following the Curriculum which is set by the Indian Nursing Council and
approved by the member of Faculty of nursing (Clinical and Non- clinical) and Board of study
Members. The 50% of subjects like anatomy, microbiology, pathology etc are taught by
nursing teachers and one of the sections of setting the university paper was given to
internal teacher from nursing faculty as per the INC guidelines.

NEED’Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, College of Nursing, organized a one
day workshop on “WOMEN EMPOWERMENT- TODAY’S NEED” The details of
the same as follows: Date : 7/01/2015
Time : 9 am onwards
Venue : Kacchee Bhavan, Ram-Mandir Corner, Sangli-Miraj Road,Sangli.

Dr. Mrs. Puja Narwadkar, Principal, BVDU, New Law College, Sangli.
Prof. Mrs. Jaya Kurhekar, Prof. Dr. Patanrao Kadam Mahavidyalay ,Sangli.
Mrs. Archana Chavan from New Law College Sangli, anchored the sessions. Dr. Nilima
Bhore started the discussion on very important aspect that is maintaining health of
women. Secondly Dr. Puja Narwadkar very effectively dealt her session on Laws
related to women and made the group realize the need of empowerment. Lastly Prof.
Mrs. Jaya Kurhekar talked about personality development by using the soft skills.
All the sessions were very effective and interactive. Dr. Sadhana Zadbuke, a famous social
worker from Kolhapur was also one of the speakers for the workshop but due to unavoidable
circumstances she could not make it to be present for the same. Total 205 participants were
present from the Law College, Nursing College and Management College, Sangli. The
written feedback from the participants was welcomed by the organizers. At the end
snacks were offered to all the participants and the workshop was adjourned.

regarding Examination Reforms as per the rules of INC under the guidance of Hon. Vice
Chancellor.

Alumni committee organized alumni meet of Bharati vidyapeeth college of nursing
student for the year 2014-15 on 08th
May 2015 . Passed out B.Sc, and P.BBSC and Msc
Nursing total 250 students were participated in the meet . The programme was
organized in mini auditorium of nursing college, Welcome song was presented by
Present P.B.Bsc students and the welcome speech was given by alumni vise presedent
Miss regina satvekar . students are welcomed with roses . Dr.Nilima Bhore principal
college of nursing,and she has given speech and refreshed the golden memories of the
students . Alumni report of aims .objectives,functions and the programms were
introduced to student by alumni coordinator Mrs Aparna b kale ,and the Budget was
presented by the treasurer Mr.hemant Gupta . Then on LCD passed out students
memorable moments during collage time had flashed. After this From the Alumni
commity Pen and Dairy was presented to each Alumini, from the students as a
representative Miss.Eliza Bhore and Mrs.Roselina Menezhes and Mrs.Nutan Tamboli
has lightened the old memories. The Programme ended at 3 pm with lunch and
Photograph clicks .
The Parent – Teacher meetings were held by each class to discuss their child’s progress
in academic performance.
Faculty and parents were getting resolutions for their academic and personal problems
through formal & informal meetings with principal.

On 14th November, 2014, there was a rally on the occasion of children’s day on station
road Sangli. This rally was attended by Principal College of nursing Sangli with faculty
and students at 9 AM in the morning. Hon. Dr. Patangrao Kadam( Founder of Bharati
Vidyapeeth) has given Oath to the staff and students in sangli . At 11 am childen day
celebration program had arranged specially for all children admitted in the Pediatric Unit
including P.I.C.U by the Pediatric Unit Staff from hospital & College of Nursing. The
designated people from the hospital were invited for the activity program. The program
started at 11A.M with felicitation of the designated V.I.P –Dr.H.M. Kadam, Dr. R.B.
Kulkarni –Dean, Dr.V.K. Jagtap-Deputy Dean, Dr.Mote-Associated M.S, Dr. A.B.Patil-
Deputy M.S, Dr.Sara Dhanawade-H.O.D Pediatric Department, Dr.Nilima Bhore-Principal
of Nursing College, Dr.Nikit Mehta-Radiologist. P.I.C.U & Pediatric ward resident, staff &
students were also present. The entire ward was decorated with balloons.
The program started with introduction of designated people & the activity
respectively. The total number of children was 58. The distribution of gift pack which
contained chikki, biscuit packet and an apple & one toy like skipping rope, drawing book,
sketch pen, Frisbee, puzzles, sound cars etc. As per their respective age and gender. Health
talk on Breast feeding & Immunization was given to mothers and relatives present. The
musical chair was arranged separately for girls and boys & three winners were given prizes.
After that the children were showed animated movie- Kungfu Panda. The children enjoyed
the movie.
The activity was summoned by end of the movie and arrangement of snacks and tea for
the invited guests and all the staff of Pediatric Unit. The activity was a success and made
Children’s Day celebration in the Unit more special by participation of everyone bringing
back the child in everyone for the day.
