Reducing the school’s environmental footprintData is sourced from school's annual utilities return and is reliant on the accuracy of these returns.

Bauple State School is located in a town without town water or sewerage. Most residences have 2 phase electricity supply. Our school’s water supply is rain water and bore water. Students, Staff and parents are very conscious of conservation. Our school has 12 solar panels and another 12 will be installed in 2012. There was an electrical upgrade to A Block and the Resource Centre (BER Building). At present, we are part of the Earth Smart group of schools, our school is in the process of formalising our sustainability management plan that focuses on the reduction of waste.Environmental footprint indicators, 2010-2011

Student Attendance DistributionThe proportions of students by attendance range.

Description of how non-attendance is managed by the schoolNon-attendance is managed in state schools in line with the DET policies, SMS-PR-029: Managing Student Absences and SMS-PR-036: Roll Marking in State Schools, which outline processes for managing and recording student attendance and absenteeism.

At Bauple State School, we take student attendance very seriously. If students are late (arriving past 9:00am) parents are to sign the student in at the office. If students are required to leave early, parents are required to sign the student out. Rolls are marked every day and collected weekly; attendance is recorded into ONESCHOOL.

Students who are away for 3 days or more in a row, notification is sent to the office and a follow up phone call is made. Attendance reports from ONESCHOOL are attached to the students report cards at the end of each semester.

At the end of the year, awards are handed out to the students who have had 5 days or less away from school.
