Annual Report 2014
2013 IN REVIEW
Our hope each year, as we prepare our ANNUAL REPORT, is that you will see this document as much more than
just an accounting of what took place financially in the previous year. We trust that this report will also serve to
reflect a part of what God has accomplished in our midst in 2013. The many souls that have been touched... the
many families who have been blessed... and the lives that have been forever changed through the ministry and
efforts of this community of faith.
2013 has been a year marked by increase and growth. The tone for the entire year was set in the very first month
with the outstanding outreach drama - ”Heaven’s Gates & Hell’s Flames”. Not only were we able to partner with
Life-Spring Christian Fellowship, but we saw many come to Christ at each of the three (3) presentations, as cast
and crew from both churches boldly proclaimed the message of the Gospel to the hundreds that came out each
night. We had the privilege of giving away more than 200 bibles to all who responded to the invitations at each
presentation. We thank God for the many who accepted Christ as Lord and Savior for the very first time, and oth-
ers who rededicated themselves to Him that weekend.
Another encouraging sign of increase included the 17 souls who were baptized in our two “Baptism & Breakfast
Services” on Good Friday & Labour Day Sunday. Not only did we experience a great harvest of souls through the
drama presentation in January, we also witnessed many new members join our Church Family. Our Membership
list grew by 15%, with more than 20 new members added and many more Adherents choosing to make Willow-
dale their church home.
Financially, we are encouraged by an overall increase in “General Tithes & Offerings” of 4.7% over 2012. This
allowed us to meet all our financial obligations including an unexpected replacement of one of our original rooftop
HVAC units.
And who can forget REFUEL 2013? Last June we met at Tyndale University to revisit VISION 2020 and to reener-
gize our strategy as we move forward with the strategic plan the Lord has given us. We are so excited to report
that our mission to make a difference for Jesus continues to expand. While we have been able to build on and
enrich our Summer Day Camps, Summer Outreach Team, M.A.D. Week, Friday Prayer Meetings, Cummer Lodge
Chapels, Holy Spirit Days, ENABLE Ministry, we’ve also been able to launch some new initiatives. We saw great
success in moving our discipleship night from Fridays (FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE!) to Wednesdays (Wednesdays @ Wil-
lowdale) and initiating the INNOVATE Kids Production Co., a music & drama ministry for children.
We are grateful for our partnership with Life-Spring Christian Fellowship it too continues to grow and bring new
opportunities. We are looking forward to working together on some potential new projects in 2014. Our agree-
ment with the Toronto Academy for the Performing Arts came to an end in 2013, but our arrangement with UMC
High School has been extended until June 2015!
Please take some time to review this report and join me in expressing praise and thanksgiving to God for all he has
done, is doing, and will do in 2014 and beyond!
