The Stampeders Foundation is a community and charitable initiative dedicated to improving the lives of Calgarians and Albertans in both Central and Southern Alberta.
The Stampeders Foundation consolidates and strengthens the club’s many charitable endeavours, enabling the organization to build upon its long-standing commitment to the community.
Through the annual Stampeders poker tournament, 50/50 ticket sales at Stampeders home games and other fundraising initiatives, the Foundation supports grassroots and amateur football programs and education as well as health and wellness projects.
The entire Stampeders organization takes great pride in giving back to the community. The players annually contribute hundreds of hours of their time, while the Outriders cheer team completed more than 2,000 hours of community service and charitable work last season.
MANDATEThe Stampeders Foundation is fully committed to the support of amateur and grassroots football in Calgary and Southern Alberta communities. In addition to promoting access to all levels of football, the Stampeders Foundation is proud to support a number of health initiatives through player involvement and in-game programming.
50/50As the mission states, football programs are the primary focus of the
Stampeders Foundation and through the sales of 50/50 tickets at Calgary Stampeders home games, players from the Calgary Bantam
Football Association have the opportunity to raise funds for their teams by volunteering their time to sell 50/50 tickets.
This past season, the Stampeders Foundation presented the Calgary Bantam Football Association with a cheque in
the amount of $121,465 and donated $72,000 to the Calgary Colts Junior Football Association.
The proceeds go towards the administration and operational costs of running their
football programs in the city.

CALGARY CATHOLIC SCHOOL DISTRICTThe Stampeders Foundation donated $49,000 to the Calgary Catholic School District (CCSD) to help launch a brand-new intramural flag football program. This donation will help the CCSD provide a flag football kit to 48 junior high schools around the city and will allow more than 2,000 kids to participate in flag football for free.
CALGARY HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALLIn 2017, the Stampeders Foundation provided the Calgary Senior High School Athletic Association (CSHSAA) a cheque in the amount of $25,000 which helped pay for the operational costs of running high school football programs in Calgary. One of the significant features of Calgary high school football is preferred playing venues such as Shouldice Park and McMahon Stadium, which are made affordable due in part to this contribution. In addition, this donation helped to provide the necessary medical staff at each game. The Stampeders Foundation also supports varsity coaches with quality game film and assistance from the team’s equipment supervisor and coaching staff. The CSHSAA is made up of 40 high school junior and senior football teams throughout the city of Calgary. SCHOOLS
