Diet (Part I)
Pandas in the wild and in protection bases spend up to twelve hours chewing on bamboo, as it contains very
little nutrition.
Diet (Part II)
In the wild, pandas occasionally feed on bodies of dead animals. Pandas in
protection bases are not allowed to eat meat as it
makes them fierce.
Lifestyle
Apart from chewing on bamboo, pandas spend up to ten hours a day sleeping.
With the remaining time, they usually play.
Habitat
Pandas in the wild can be found in South Eastern China, such
as Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Gansu provinces. These are the very few places where
pandas can be found in their natural habitats.
Chances of Survival
The panda is an endangered species, due to habitat loss and very low birthrate. It is
estimated that there are around 1590 pandas currently
living in the wild.
