Gauge: 18 sts x 24 rows = 4” (10 cm)

Abbreviations: BO = Bind Off CO = Cast On K = Knit P = Purl St(s) = Stitch(es) Stripe Pattern #1: * 4 rows D, 4 rows C, 4 rows A, 4 rows C, 4 rows B, 4 rows C. Repeat from * for entire block ; end 4 rows A, 2 rows C. (62 rows) NOTE: WORK 5 STS GARTER ST BORDER IN “A” AT BEGINNING AND END OF EACH ROW FOR ENTIRE BLANKET. WORK BODY OF BLANKET IN STOCKINETTE ST. Each of the 9 blocks is 40 sts and 62 rows. Work each block with separate balls of yarn and 5 st Garter borders each side (see picture) Optional: Separate balls for each color change on robot without carrying in back.

BLANKET: With A and circular needle, CO 130 sts. Work in Garter st (K every row) for 8 rows (4 ridges). With A, K5 sts Garter st borders at each end. Continue in this manner until Blocks 1 - 9 are complete. Work patterns from bottom, right to left (see picture) Block 1: Join B and work across 40 sts and 62 rows solid. Block 2: Join C and work 8 rows of C across 40 sts. On RS, work 9 sts C, join A and work across 22 sts Chart Pattern #1, end 9 sts C. When 46 rows of Chart are complete, work 8 rows C. (62 rows) Block 3: Join B and work across 40 sts and 62 rows solid. Blocks 4-6: Block 4: Join C and work 5 sts, join A and work across 30 sts Chart Pattern # 2, end 5 sts C. When 55 rows of Chart are complete, work 7 rows C. (62 rows) Block 5: Join D and work across 40 sts Stripe Pattern #1. ( end 4 rows A, 2 rows C) 62 rows. Chart pattern #2, #4 eyes: With larger buttons and red thread, attach as indicated on chart. Chart #1, #3 antennas: With thinner strand of D, embroider antenna in chain stitch as indicated on chart. Chart #2, #4 antennas: With thinner strand of B, embroider single antenna in chain stitch as indicated on chart.
