As a result, recent years have seen a flurry of Congressional action related to intellectual property legislation, as
well as computer, communications, and biomedical technology regulation and legislation. At Scalia Law, students
have the opportunity to specialize in the regulation and legislation surrounding developing technologies through
the LLM in Intellectual Property.
ACADEMICS AND HANDS-ON LEARNINGScalia Law’s faculty members have practiced in leading intellectual property law firms and the U.S. Patent and
Trademark Office. They regularly testify before Congress on intellectual property law and policy matters. They
share their practical experiences with students in the classroom leading to an exceptional educational experience.
Students may choose to enhance that experience by acquiring hands-on legal experience with an attorney through
the Practical Skills Track Option. This skills-based program advances professional development and workplace
skills through the practical application of knowledge acquired in the classroom.

Going to George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School is one of the best decisions I have
ever made in my life. The LLM in Intellectual Property Law has provided me with the opportunity
to explore an array of different possibilities for my future. The professors really challenge your
thinking, give great feedback, and my fellow students have been an inspiration for me daily. The
admissions staff truly care about the students, and they do everything possible to help. Through
the IP LLM program, I was able to secure an internship at the prestigious Center for Protection of
Intellectual Property (CPIP) and the Law and Economics Center (LEC).
