Climate and energy post Trump win View this email in your browser ANU Energy News & Events Dear reader With the news of Donald Trump's election to the US Presidency, the global landscape for climate action and energy change has shifted dramatically. We're running several events this month that will discuss the changing international context: - Postcard from Marrakesh: Implementing the Paris Climate Agreement (22 Nov) features ANU experts and Ambassadors who will decipher recent international events and discuss what needs to happen now in terms of implementation. - Energy Update (29 Nov) provides an overview of the global and Australian energy landscape and includes a session on Climate Change Response Post Paris Agreement. - Energy Change Institute Open Day (28 Nov) focuses more locally on energy research happening in the ACT, including the latest ANU energy research and new research funding opportunities. - The ACT Solar Oration, The Carbon War - a dispatch from the front lines (29 Nov) will discuss how energy in society is in a state of global civil war, a theory that may unfortunately return to prominence with the new US administration.
