MESSAGE FROM MY DESK Congratulations to all of the students who were recipients of awards at our recent presentation night. I would also like to recognise the excellent behaviour of the students on the night. It was wonderful to have a variety of performances and display the talent of our Toppy students. A HUGE thank you to Mrs Cooper for preparing the students for this event. We were privileged to have Mr Pellizzer our School Education Director in attendance, he had many favourable comments about the evening. Mrs Low organised another successful enrichment day. I would like to thank all of the staff for assisting and preparing activities. In particular, Mrs Haworth, Mrs Cooper and Miss Staples who volunteered their time. It is a bitter sweet time for me and my family. We sadly say goodbye to our friends, the staff and families at Wyalong. Thank you for welcoming my family and for helping us to settle in this year. All the best to Mr Tallon and his family who will start a new chapter at Narrandera. We also wish Miss Anderson and her future husband Mr Peter Hunt many years of happiness as they embark on a new journey together. Welcome back to Miss Staples for 2013! All of the children are so lucky to have such dedicated staff, amazing learning programs and to be part of a ‘Top School’. Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy and safe New Year! Helpers Morning Tea If you have helped in anyway at school this year, please accept this as your invitation to our helpers morning tea being held at school on Wednesday 19th December at 11.30am. P&C – Canteen Next Wednesday – 19th December – last day for students, the P&C will be holding a free BBQ to clean out the Canteen supplies.

Summer Reading Club This is an annual event to encourage children to read over the summer months. Children who register receive a reading pack. There Are prizes and rewards to be won along the way. It is free to join and is aimed at children 5-16 years of age. Parents are welcome to register their children at the Bland Shire Library During the month of December. Coming Up in January Summer Reading Club Party Wednesday 16 January @ 6pm A night at the library exclusive to club members Lots of prizes and fun to be had. Night Time Story time Tangled tales story time @ 6pm Wednesday 23 January Suitable for children aged preschool -8 years. Please ring the Bland Shire Library on 69790272 for more details. Bland Shire Library is located on Shire Street, West Wyalong.
School Break Up Disco Party
