1 SUNDAY, AUGUST 23, 2020 “HOPE ALIVE IN ME” Thank You for the cross where You saved me. Thank You for the love that forgave me. When I was far away, You were reaching out for me. Thank You for a grace so amazing. It found me where I was, and it changed me. The stone was rolled away, and something came alive in me. So let ev’rything within me rise up and sing. I have Hope alive in me. God, You’ve won the victory. You have crushed the enemy. So, I have Hope alive in me, alive in me. Now the chains of death have been broken. Now the door to freedom is open. The stone is rolled away, Jesus, You have set me free. So, let ev’rything within me rise up and sing. I have Hope alive in me. God, You’ve won the victory. You have crushed the enemy. 2 “HE WILL HOLD ME FAST” When I fear my faith will fail, Christ will hold me fast. When the tempter would prevail, He will hold me fast. I could never keep my hold through life’s fearful path, for my love is often cold, He must hold me fast. (Chorus) He will hold me fast, He will hold me fast. For my Savior loves me so, He will hold me fast. For my life He bled and died, Christ will hold me fast. Justice has been satisfied, He will hold me fast. Raised with Him to endless life, He will hold me fast, ‘till our faith is turned to sight, when He comes at last! (Chorus) He will hold me fast, He will hold me fast. For my Savior loves me so, He will hold me fast. “SEE, WHAT A MORNING” See what a morning, gloriously bright with the dawning of hope in Jerusalem. Folded, the graveclothes, tomb filled with light, as the angels announce, “Christ is risen!” See God’s salvation plan, wrought in love, borne in pain, paid in sacrifice. Fulfilled in Christ, the Man, for He lives, Christ is risen from the dead. See Mary weeping, “Where is He laid?” as in sorrow she turns from the empty tomb, Hears a voice speaking, calling her name. It’s the Master, the Lord, raised to life again! The voice that spans the years, speaking life, stirring hope, bringing peace to us will sound ‘til He appears, for He lives. Christ is risen from the dead. One with the Father, Ancient of Days, through the Spirit who clothes faith with certainty. Honor and blessing, glory and praise to the King, crowned with pow’r and authority. And we are raised with Him. Death is dead, love has won, Christ has conquered, and we shall reign with Him, for He lives. Christ is risen from the dead!

3 “SEE THE MAN OF SORROWS NOW” Once You were humbled, heavy thorns upon Your brow. Once You were broken till Your love came raining down. Despised and rejected by the ones You came to save, You cried, “It is finished!" and the darkness had its day. But oh, what a morning when the stone was rolled away. And the people sing, Where, O death is your victory? Where, O grave is your sting? He’s alive. See the Man of sorrows now. Savior, high and exalted, the King of heaven victorious, Jesus, crowned with many crowns. See the Man of sorrows now. I will not fear now what Your grace has overcome. I will not tremble through a fight You’ve already won. I’ll lay down my burdens, and I’ll lift my hands in praise. I will look to You, Jesus, Name above all other names! And the people sing, Where, O death is your victory? Where, O grave is your sting? He’s alive. See the Man of sorrows now. Savior, high and exalted, the King of heaven victorious, Jesus, crowned with many crowns. See the Man of sorrows now. It is over. You have done it. Hallelujah! What a Savior. It is finished. 4 “PRAISE TO THE LORD, THE ALMIGHTY” Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of Creation! O my soul, praise Him, for He is thy health and salvation! All ye who hear, now to His temple draw near, join me in glad adoration! Praise to the Lord, who o’er all things so wondrously reigneth, shelters thee under His wings, yes, so gently sustaineth! Hast thou not seen how all thy longings have been granted in what He ordaineth? Praise to the Lord, who doth prosper thy work and defend thee. Surely His goodness and mercy here daily attend thee. Ponder anew, what the Almighty can do, if with His love He befriend thee. Praise to the Lord! O let all that is in me adore Him! All that hath life and breath come now with praises before Him! Let the Amen sound from His people again, gladly forever adore Him! Let the Amen sound from His people again, gladly forever adore Him! “MY HEART IS FILLED WITH THANKFULNESS” My heart is filled with thankfulness to Him who bore my pain, who plumbed the depths of my disgrace and gave me life again, who crushed my curse of sinfulness and clothed me in His light, and wrote His law of righteousness with pow'r upon my heart. My heart is filled with thankfulness to Him who reigns above, whose wisdom is my perfect peace, whose every thought is love. For every day I have on earth is given by the King, so I will give my life, my al,l to love and follow Him.

5 INVITATION “AT CALVARY” Years I spent in vanity and pride, caring not my Lord was crucified, knowing not it was for me He died on Calvary. (Chorus) Mercy there was great, and grace was free, pardon there was multiplied to me, there my burdened soul found liberty at Calvary. By God’s Word at last my sin I learned, then I trembled at the law I spurned, till my guilty soul imploring turned to Calvary. 6 OFFERTORY “YET NOT I BUT THROUGH CHRIST IN ME” What gift of grace is Jesus my Redeemer? There is no more for heaven now to give. He is my joy, my righteousness and freedom, my steadfast love, my deep and boundless peace. To this I hold: My hope is only Jesus, for my life is wholly bound to His. Oh, how strange and divine, I can sing, all is mine, yet not I, but through Christ in me. The night is dark, but I am not forsaken, for by my side, the Savior, He will stay. I labor on in weakness and rejoicing, for in my need His power is displayed. To this I hold: My Shepherd will defend me, through the deepest valley He will lead. Oh, the night has been won and I shall overcome, yet not I, but through Christ in me. No fate I dread, I know I am forgiven, the future sure, the price, it has been paid. For Jesus bled and suffered for my pardon, and He was raised to overthrow the grave. To this I hold: My sin has been defeated, Jesus now and ever is my plea. Oh, the chains are released, I can sing, I am free, yet not I, but through Christ in me. With every breath I long to follow Jesus, for He has said that He will bring me home. And day by day, I know He will renew me, until I stand with joy before the throne. To this I hold: My hope is only Jesus, all the glory evermore to Him. When the race is complete, still my lips shall repeat, yet not I, but through Christ in me. To this I hold: My hope is only Jesus, all the glory evermore to Him.
