“Fun in the Sun” with Gamma Theta
This past month, our Brothers spent a fun day at the pool withpotential recruits for the upcoming class. We had food and games setup for the recruits to enjoy with the Brothers. It was our lastopportunity to interact with the potential recruits before they madetheir final decision to enter the candidacy period and we felt that wewere truly able to share our spirit of Brotherhood with them.
Delta Epsilon’s Chapter RetreatATTEN-TION! Delta Epsilon hosted a Chapter Retreat on campus in the month of October topromote unity and bonding amongst our Brothers. At the start of the event, Brothers beganrolling in slowly and naturally gravitating towards members who they were closest to. Althoughevery person had a smile on their face, laughing and chatting with their friends, I noticed thatthere were dissections among the groups of brothers. To diminish the divides that existed withinour chapter, teams were organized specifically to separate Brothers who were already close, andjoin Brothers who normally do not associate. These team assignments were initially met withdiscomfort and awkward, forced interactions; however this all changed when the games began.By participating in various fun and silly games, the competitive spirit was ignited in our Brothers.Teammates who would normally pass each other in the halls without saying a word, wereenthusiastically cheering for each other. By the end of the retreat, a sense of Brotherhood havespread among our chapter, one that was not exclusive to individual groups, but was presentthroughout the chapter as a whole. Hannah Vu
Stroke Boot Camp with Delta EpsilonPDC Brothers of Delta Epsilon, Physical Therapy students and post-stroke patients participatedat an annual event called “Stroke Boot Camp.” Stroke Boot Camp is a week-long event for post-stroke patients, where they work with physical therapy students to assess and improve theirmotor function skills. PDC Brothers’ main task was to help complete a medication reconciliationfor the stroke patients.

This was an annual dinner at the PDC Housethat we host for our first year pharmacystudents. Brothers come, make food, andintroduce themselves to students and givethem a feel for what PDC is all about.

PDC Omicron Chapter hosted aResidency Mock Interview sessionto help prepare USC students for amuch deserved chance at theirfuture goals as residents. Thankyou to our Worthy Alumni Liason(Marl Ayson), supporting Brothers,and especially the faculty andstudents who took the time toparticipate!
