Poster Changes after feedback given : “Names on the clipboard is look very weird and unconventional.” “Block in the middle is not needed. Use something else to emphasise her double lifestyle” The clipboard was removed and the names and extra information was added on the bottom. This is more or a common form of presenting this kind of information . Instead of the black line and different photos to emphasis a secret double lifestyle, I decided to use a photo of the main character posing with her finger on her lips. This in society today is known as the ‘ssshhhh’ pose. In addition to this I wanted the main character to look ordinary but aged the newspaper effect with ‘Gangs’ written all over her face and finger. This to me emphasised her double life.

“Block in the middle is not needed. Use something else to emphasise her

double lifestyle”

The clipboard was removed and the names and extra information was added on the bottom. This is more or a common form of presenting this kind

of information .

Instead of the black line and different photos to emphasis a secret double lifestyle, I decided to use a photo of the main character posing with her

finger on her lips. This in society today is known as the ‘ssshhhh’ pose. In addition to this I wanted the main character to look ordinary but aged the newspaper effect with ‘Gangs’ written all over her face and finger. This to

me emphasised her double life.

Poster Changes after feedback:

“Make an indication of the gang not just the DCIs, as they play a major role

in the storyline.”

“Change the title of the movie. Tables Turned doesn’t the storyline”

Instead of just showing the DCIs, I had to think of a way to think of a way to also include the gang members and so decided to use a clip from the movie. This is also something common on Urban drama

movie posters, where Film clips are incorporated on the film poster. Shank is an example as well as Sket ( 2 Urban Drama movies that

convey aspects of thriller conventions)

The title ‘Tables Turned’ was changed to deception. This is because when thinking of the phrase Tables Turned the thought of revenge and ‘Karma’ comes in to place. Seeing as revenge or Karma have nothing to do with the storyline it was changed to deception. This word ‘deception’ works better and also relates

to the actual storyline.

“Use Dark colours as they are more used on Urban Drama Posters.”

“Change the overall quality because it looks effortless and poorly

constructed.”

Poster Changes after feedback:

On the original poster the colours weren’t very dark and gloomy like regular urban drama posters. We

changed the over all idea and decided to use a black background instead of a sky. This makes everything else

stand out without making the overall poster look too busy .

After changing the overall quality, it was of much importance to me as a key group member, to voice the importance of incorporating the setting of the

trailer in the poster somehow. As we didn’t wasn’t to spoil the refined look of our new poster idea I decided to place the setting within the title. This is a

creative way to inform the audience where exactly the setting was taking place without affecting everything else. On many urban drama posters an indication

of the Urban area the trailer takes place in is very common also. ( Blocks of flats are common)

Additional features Not seen on the first draft.

In addition to the changes made, after going back to look at research I decided to add:

The tagline An indication of Social Network combinations

(Digital media convergence) Production Logos Award Logo Entertainment Logos

These are all common features found on Posters in general. The layout was to add balance to the poster. This shows there in an incorporation with other media texts.

Magazine Changes after Feedback:

“Change the brightness of the mainPicture.”

“Enlarge the film title and make it Match the font on the trailer”

The photo was brightened on photo shop and a glow effect was added. This made it more apparent that there was two sides to

the character.

The film title was enlarged and was changed to match the font seen in the trailer. This is to maintain the same style and also make this magazine cover eye

catching.

“Enlarge the magazine title to make it more dominant on the

page”

“Add a special effect on the movie title to make it stand out”

The magazine title was enlarged and also brightened. This was to make it stand out more. Although there are many tings

going on the importance of the magazine title and house style remains the same . This is seen on magazine covers featuring

urban drama movies and magazine titles in general.

Magazine Changes after Feedback:

A red glow was added behind the title to also

make it stand out.

Additional features Not seen on the first draft.

In addition to the changes made to the magazine after the feedback given we also :

Added a banner across the bottom corner of the magazine cover.

Changed the side that the writing came in from

These changes made the magazine cover look more professional. Every magazine has some sort of banner or placing on it that draws the attention of the audience.
