I have always strived as a priest to know each of you, my family members, by name. In order for us to be able to do that we need a parish pic- ture directory because I want to know you by name and I want a face with your name. You should also want to know who you are sitting with in church and who your fellow family members are in church. For this reason I am begging you to please please please make it a point to schedule a photography session with Lifetouch for either Friday, October 26th or Saturday October 27th. It is a quick session at which they will snap your photo for our directory. There is no obligation to buy any photos and you will receive a free 8x10 photograph as well as a free parish direc- tory for participating. You can schedule your session by calling our wonderful parish secretary, Starr, at the office and she will gladly schedule your session for you. Thank you for heeding my call and doing this. I am most grateful for your time in having this done. I can't wait to have a directory and flipping through it nightly as I say my prayers for you and praying for you by name and by face! Please please please request Mass intentions for the weekend Masses for your loved ones who have passed away. It is often the case that I do not have a Mass intention for a given Mass. You can also request Mass intentions for a spe-cial occasion like your wedding anniversary, birthday etc... Also I am happy to celebrate Masses for people who need prayers due to ill-ness or another reason. Just stop by the parish office and request your Mass intention. I like to have a Mass intention for every Mass I cele-brate so please come to the office and book them. Thank you so much. Remember the best gift we can give a loved one who has passed away or who needs help is the gift of prayer.

El jueves 1 de noviembre es el Día de Todos los Santos y es un día santo de obligación. Es un pecado mortal y una obligación de todo católico asistir a la misa este día. Tendremos misa a las 4 pm en Lucerne en inglés. 6pm en Clearlake en inglés. 7:30 pm vamos a misa en español en Clearlake.
Thursday, Nov 1st is All Saints Day and it is a Holy Day of Obligation. It is a mortal sin and an obligation of every Catholic to attend Mass this day. We will have Mass at 4pm in Lucerne in English. 6pm in Clearlake in English. 7:30pm we will Mass in Spanish in Clearlake.
Queen of Peace would like to thank Nancy Avento (Gobbi) for all of the time she has so generously given to our parish over the years. Her tireless efforts have helped so many, for so long. Nancy is such an amazing part of this communi-ty. We are saddened to see her go, but we are excited for her next chapter of life. With many heartfelt prayers and memo-ries that will never be forgotten, we wish you all the best! May God bless you and your family, now and always.
