Vision StatementThe Association of Professional
Astrologers Inc. is committed to the
Development and Maintenance of
Best Practice in the Astrological
Field through the Promotion of
Strong Educational Standards,
Professional Competency, Ethical
Understanding and Integrity.
I am very pleased to announce that we have two new members to our association and welcome Jo-Anne Cardosi from QLD and Susan Boxshall from VIC.
Both bring many professional attributes
with them and I am sure they will be an
asset to our association. Jo-Anne, who
jo ined as an Associate Member,
completed her supervision with Glennys
Lawton as well as the APA stipulated
counselling units from the Mental Health
Academy, before becoming a full member.
Jo-anne commented that the units from
MHA were extremely helpful and pertinent
to her astrological practice. She can also
see herself continuing to study with MHA
as they have a vast array of subjects which
she says would enhance her counselling
skills even further. Congrats Jo-Anne and
Susan.
This is good news as all information and
criteria for the annual APA MHA
Scholarship for a 12 month subscription
is now available from our website. If you
know of anyone interested in applying,
pass this information onto them or contact
the APA President or Secretary.
Applications close on September 30th
each year.
Continuing the support that APA provides
to its members and students alike through
our promotion of strong educational
standards, there has been four successful
applicants of the APA Exam Scholarships
for 2019/20. Thank you to those teachers
who recommended their students and
please encourage those who were not
successful to apply again. Wishing them
well, congratulations go to:
* Patricia Garci NSW (Calculation)
* Katya Boon QLD (Dynamic)
* Stefanie Schroeder WA (Dynamic)
* Mikailah Gooda QLD (Interpretation)

With 2020 being a “Time of Crossroads and Conjunctions” , the successful applicant for the APA Student Conference Sponsorship
2020 is Renee Aland of Noosaville QLD (a student of Chiron Shakti), who has worked in the field of Astronomy for many years.
One of Renee’s stated aims is to help bridge the gap between Astronomers and Astrologers. Congratulations Renee. The conference
package is valued at $1,404 and includes the Conference Celebration ‘Saturday Night at the South Node’. As the conference in its
present format is under review at the 2020 FAA AGM this sponsorship may also need to reflect those changes. Thank you to those
teachers that referred students and all members will be notified should any changes need to occur in the future.
The next APA AGM will be on Wednesday 15th January 2020 at International House, 241 Royal Pde, Parkville, Melbourne, with a
time to be confirmed closer to the date. Remember your input re Agenda Items is welcomed, so pass these onto the Secretary,
Christine Rothwell [email protected] by the 1st November 2019. Reports from State Representatives no longer apply,
as at the 2016 AGM a motion was passed to make the positions redundant. As all committee positions become vacant AGM
Nomination Forms are to be received by Christine no later than December 14. Nomination Form attached.

We are all familiar with these much-quoted ‘Hallmarked’1 lines from William Blake’s Auguries of Innocence:
To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour
These four lines prepare the reader for Blake’s soulful poem, which explores the fragility, beauty and
paradoxes of life. The lines are not just wonderfully aesthetic but address a deeply resonant truth, not easily
explained or articulated; truth recognized by the soul, not the intellect. In these four lines, Blake reminds us
of a transcendent sight that sees through nature to other worlds. He evokes the mysteries of time and our
participation with it. We could make the case that within an hour there is an infinite number of nanoseconds
and attoseconds, but this would probably be the ever restless mind trying to come to terms with the poetic
images in a securely sensible way. However, there is another way: Blake invites us to imagine....

MULTIPLE RELATIONSHIPSA multiple relationship occurs when a counselling astrologer is in a professional role with a person and...
1) at the same time is in another role with the same person eg friend, lecturer
2) at the same time is in a relationship with a person closely associated with or related to a person whom the astrologer has a professional relationship, eg employer, carer, mother
3) promises to enter another relationship in the future with the person or person closely associated with and/or related to the person
ETHICAL SOLUTIONA counselling astrologer should refrain from entering into a multiple relationship if the multiple relationship could reasonably be expected to impair the astrologer’s objectivity, competence, or effectiveness in performing his or her functions as a counselling astroloer, or otherwise risks exploitation or harm to the person with whom the professional relationship exists.
