The Trans Canada Trail has a vision to be
completed by 2017. In Pictou County,
Sally has been working with NS Trails’
TCT Consultant, Garnet McLaughlin, and
local trail groups to create a TCT route
that will connect our towns, rural
communities and First Nation’s lands.
Approximately $945,135.00 has been
reserved for Pictou County.
This is 50% of the estimated total project
cost. Therefore, having a Trail
Development Coordinator is essential to
secure funding from numerous sources,
including in-kind, community, corporate
and government partnerships in order to
make the construction of the trail a
reality .
