To facilitate the mobility and professional practice of itsengineers within the ASEAN ambit by establishing a framof mutual recognition qualifications amongst the ASEAN countries whereby AER engineers who wish to practice otheir home country may carry with them an approved andrecognized professional qualification;

To safeguard and promote the professional interests ofengineers;

To establish a database of the capability profile of the inengineers in order that prospective employers from membcountries may engage their services.
