All information was correct at the time of publication. To find out more, you can contact the Schools Admission Team or see the Council's website: www.wakefield.gov.uk/residents/schools-and-children For more detailed information relating to admissions or appeals at schools that have not adopted Wakefield Council's admissions policy, please contact the school directly. The following pages also include a summary of the out-of-school childcare provision currently available. Out-of-school childcare includes sessions before school hours (where schools provide food, these are often referred to as 'breakfast clubs') and after school hours. These sessions may be provided by the school, private or voluntary childcare providers, or childminders. You will have to pay to use these services. Please note that not all out-of-school childcare is based on the school site. Providers, including childminders, may offer pick-up and drop-off services. Each of these schools belongs to what we call a ‘pyramid’ of schools. A 'pyramid' covers a particular area within the district, and each primary, infant and junior school has its own catchment area within the pyramid; this is normally the area closest to each school.

The following pages list all of the primary, infant and junior schools within the Wakefield district. The 'Published Admission Number' relates to the school year commencing September 2020; the information regarding applications, places allocated on Offer Day, and appeals after Offer Day, relates to the school year commencing September 2019. All information was correct at the time of publication.

To find out more, you can contact the Schools Admission Team or see the Council's website:www.wakefield.gov.uk/residents/schools-and-children

For more detailed information relating to admissions or appeals at schools that have not adopted Wakefield Council's admissions policy, please contact the school directly.
