A Cafetaria at Widya Mandala

The cafetaria is looks out. It is around by small garden, a field, aparking lot and some of rooms. The cafetaria is consist more than ftftypeople. In the left of the cafetaria, there is a field and a small garden.The field is around by wire. We can play tennis, basketball and volleyball. Near the field, there is a small garden futl rvith green color. A softgreen grass around the flowers and the trees. In the back of that and thccafetaria, there is one kind a large room looks like a auditorium, consislby fifty people or more than si>cty people. Behind this, there is foursmall room used for university activity. Some of thc long chair, made ofrvood, in the fiont of this roonr. We can sit there lor a joke, cat, or doingsomething like a example learn the lcsson if rve get a free time, or nomore classes. in the right of the cafetaria, there is a parking lot tbrmotorcycle. lt is prevention by people rvho trusted from university andin the front ofthat, there is a parking area lor the car.

This cafetaria alrvays crorvded expect the holidays. We knorvcafetaria is the number one place for students that means is a favoritepiace for them. Sometimes, they felt more happy to stand in thecafetaria more than stayed in the classroom. Although they comc tocafetaria not to eat or dnnk or ordcr some meais, they stil l have a funwith their friends. They can talking to each othcr, studying together, ordoing any4hing activity. But some ol'thern, i l ' thcy really hungry, thcycan order meals by go to the shop, pay that and then thcy can sit in thechair for a minute to waiting their meals. The rvaiter or thc rvaitress rvil ltake the meals for them.

Finally, lve can see horv the cafctaria at Widya MandalaUniversiry. The cafetaria is enough big, comfortable, rvarm and full ofvierv. We can eat any kind of food. There isn't much differencesbetrveen a small restaurant and the cafetaria. The food is delicious.Sometimes people from other school come here to eat the lcod. The costis not expensive but a litt le cheaper. People from any level can boughti t . (D9)

As usual, many students of Widya Mandala spend their rest time ortheir spare time at cafetaria. Although the weather is rather hot, it seemsenjoyable. I don't know exactly ifI like it or not to be there.

I see clearly a rather big park in front of cafetaria with fulled bysome beautiful florvers. There is also the basketball court there. We cansit in every chairs wherever we want. Maybe I think it is very enjoyablesitting there together with our friends. Every cafe make their cafes asbeautiful as they can do. They make their cafe ftrll of interesting colors,shape, and some kind of their foot price. There are many kinds of foodsold there. And I believe they are very delicious. Some oftelephone box

are standing too between the park and the chairs. I often see there are

many of students use them on the rest time. There is one cafe I like very

.u.h. It is placed in the middle. I like it because that cafe is arrangedlike a bar, Although that cafe is look luxurious' but the food is not tooexpensive. It'youlvant to order the meals, first of all you come to thecertain cafe that you like. After that, you can order the meal whileseeing the menu that is hanged or attached to the wall. You can also seethe price of the meals too there. Then, you can wait your meal or youcan ask the servant to bring them for you on your sit. Finaliy, after youenjoy your meal, you must pay them in that certain cafe.

I think it is my description about Widya Mandala Cafetaria. If I cansay it is very enjoyable to spend your spare time and your rest timethere. J ever enter the other cafe in s1he1 rrnivsl5ity but I realiy believethat it is very different with Widya Mandala Cafetaria. Sometimes, Iprepare my lecture at cafetaria while enjoy the meal or the breakfast inthe morning. My friends and I often talking about something at cafetariatoo. So, I think many activities that is done there from the simple thinguntii the difficult thing. ( D 5 )

I am a student of Widya Mandala University. I spend five days ina week in my campus. Our campus life is good and I enjoy its situation.There are two aspects in our campus life, it is academic aspect andinteractional aspect.

In academic aspect, the courses are given usually so, we have notime to piay. The courses have a lot of kinds, such as make a summary,to look for article, writing, and so on. The textbooks are seiected by theiecturer. It is seiected depend on the students' necessaries. Theassignment are graded fair and sometimes if we get a bad marh thelecturer will make an examination again to improve our mark. In ourcampus the presence discipline enough. We have twenty five percentsabsent for one credit. I think this is enough for us. If finally you takemore than twenfy five percents, we shouid report to administration

On the other hand, the interactional aspect have three rypes ofinteraction First, student - student. Between student, there is a goodinteraction. Maybe because of we have a different environment withhigh school so, we help each other. Second is student - teacher. Theyhave a good interaction too. Engiish Deparsncnt has not much studentso, the teacher know the student and the student know them too. Alsobecause of the Widya Mandala is a Catholic Universiry so, there isfamiliar interaction. Third, teacher - teacher interaction is good too.They have the same work so they must cooperation and help each other.The interaction that happen make us brave and the situation motivate usto stand at attitude. Due to we ar€ taught with teachership system so, wehave a skili to teaching.

Finally, I want to suggest to improve English Department. EngiishDepartment is good enough but its students doesn't use the Englishitsilf as it ought to be. The step to be taken to carry out this probiem isuse English ianguage when you take the class until you finish your class

so, it can improve your English. ( D 6 )

The process of teaching and learning at Widya Mandala University

would be a grateful and compietely thing. It is all right to explain how the

everyday.- f irsr of all, some lecturers who get several schedule from the Head

of English Department, they prepare together textbook that will be

teachiig for each class .Llated t; their own duty. Before enter to the class,

they bring with them a students' presence. ,- f[en" entering to the ciass, the lecturer would do everyhing

successfully. They introduce the students by managing class lowards a

lood relationship -between

teacher and the students' Gradually' the lecturer

academic as important items, and all the text books have been selected'

Afterwirds, the lecfurer instructs all the students to comprehend

textbook. The students take a lot of time to get some idea' ln a few

The cafetaria of Widya Mandala university is located incampus. It is contiguous with basketball court and very near fromparking area. This cafetaria is constructed in the modem stylesurrounded several plant, so there are many people likes the situation.

If we are sitting at the cafetaria, we can looks many peopleactivities here. Someone is working his assignment and at the sometime,others are eating, going steady, and also studying.

Many choice menu of meal and drink have been provided. Aboutfour kinds of dishes style, they are ltaiian, American, Indonesian, andChinese styie.

To order the meals, the students must determine it at first. Then,they can talks to the sewice girl or comes directly at the stand. Next, theymust pay for it before eat. After several minutes the order have ready.Finally, they can ieave their table.( D 14 )

The Cafetaria of Widya Mandala University

Widya Mandala university has a blok of cafetaria. The cafetaria is locatcd

in the back yard of the campus, right in the middle. There is a motor bike parking

area on ttt. lgnt hand side and on the left hand side, there is a basket ball field'

The cafetaria has several stands which are sells many things, including foods,

beverages and stationaries. The size of each stands is not quite big but is enough

for prelaring meals we ordered. The stands is arranged on our right-hand side

rvhen we are-entering the cafetaria from the classes. The long path in the middle,

seperated the stands and the piace rvhere we are eating our lunch. we can do

"u".ytiring in the cafetariu ru"h a. eat our lunch, discuss something orjust have a

small talk rvith our friends.We have to rvalk quite far, pass the big pool and a car parking area' and rve

want to go to the cafetaria. It needs five minutes to get there from the classes. The

situation in the cafetaria is not good enough for us; for there is no air conditioner,

so the.space becomes very hot. Even though, there is several fans, they are not

work well to keep the air fresh. It could make the visitors not fell comfortable to

enjoy their lunch; however, the cafetaria is full of people on the break.time. It is

U"caus" there is no others cafetaria near to choose when we need to eat lunch The

space of the cafetaria is quite big for the students of Widya Mandala University

and clean enough to, *r can enjoy our lunch there without disturbed by bad

looking of waste.The stands sell many kinds of food such as nasi rawon, nasl soto, gado-

gado, pangsit mie, sate bumbu kecap and so on. The beverages also have many

ia.iety ruJh u, soft drink, juice, min}al water and etc. There is a lot of people in

the caietaria when break time comes. Because of the limited stands, they have to

queque for ordering the meals. We have to pay cash for the meals' After, we had

oraei o* lunch, thJ waitress will serve us and take our lunch to our tabie. We can

pay before or after the food we ordered has served. Usually the waitress looks

tonfirsed when she takes the lunch or food to our table, because there are many

people on the people and she doesn't recognize the visitors one by one' The

iewice of the waitress is good enough. They seem patient and give attention to

our order,in my opinion, the cafetaria of widya Mandala University is good. And

the service is going well day by day. The thing should be changed is the location

of the cafetaria, because it is too far from the classes and we have just fifteen

minutes to eat our lunch. It is not enough time, because we always in a hurry for

the next or being late; for the queue in cafetaria is too long.
