Apple Country Woodcrafters Library Apple Country Woodcrafters has established a library for the benefit of its members. So far it includes over 500 books on all aspects of woodworking. The collection also includes magazines such as Wood, Fine Woodworking, WoodSmith, Today’s Woodworker and many others. The entire collection has been indexed allowing members to search the catalogue for a specific topic.
Books may be checked out but the magazines should stay in the building please. We have a copier, so if a member wants a copy of an article, it can be scanned and saved to a pdf file or color printed.
There is a set of Woodworkers Guild of America videos on how to safely use various power equipment such as table saw, band saw, router, etc.. Viewing these videos is a good first step in learning how to safely use a power machine.
A unusual aspect of the library is its collection of dozens of wood samples, including many of the exotic species. Samples are small enough to handle easily but large enough to see the characteristics of the wood such as color, grain and hardness.
