It is universally acknowledged that railways contribute enormous social vibrancy and economic competitiveness by transporting multitudes of customers and cargos to city centers and inner suburbs. Consequently, rail transport has become a major form of passenger and freight transport in many countries. Plenty of economists have even argued that the existence of modern rail infrastructure is quite a significant indicator of a country's economic advancement due to its much higher levels of transportation capacity and energy efficiency, especially high-speed railway framework for inter-city travel and metro lines for inner-city utilization.

1) In the interface of Railway Design, it’s just required to input horizontal curve, vertical curve and superelevation values, then measurements may get started.

Single-point measurement and track measurement are optional to match the relevant mode preset in the robotic total station.

The measured data of gauge value and horizontal tilting angle shall be shown in the software SmartRail.

All such functionalities as electronic bubble adjustment, infrared laser pointing activation and rotation control of the total station might be switched in software via radio communication.

For data acquisition, project mode and measurement mode are available upon fieldwork demand.

The measured data would be saved into files of XML format and generated to Measurements Report and Linear Report. And the report contents are customizable and might be exported to TXT, XLS or PDF format for reference.

7) The additional software TDES (Track Datum Evaluation System) is specifically tailored to office post processing for an overall inspection and evaluation as well as professional training purposes (multi-node license required) targeted at railway contractor staff or vocational students.

However, running safety and ride comfort, the essential requirements to both rail transporters and passengers, are specifically determined by rail track geometry quality. The Track Geometry Measuring Trolley System MEASLLEY III is made to deal with the ride-performance-based inner and outer track geometry quality in particular.

Basically speaking, a systematically integrated high-speed rail infrastructure nationwide and advanced subway networks facilitated in populated metropolitan cities are the key driving forces to increase the formations of modernity and urbanity.

Overall MeasurementMeasure the 3-dimensional coordinate of prism installed on trolley, and combine the calibrated XYZ geometry parameter, the orientation parameter, the measured horizontal tilting angle and the measured gauge value to compute the horizontal position and track elevation of the related mileage point. Then, compare the computed values with the originally designed data, and finely adjust the tracks according to the difference value.

Gauge MeasurementMeasure the inner minimum distance (16mm below the surface) between the 2 tracks with gauge sensor.
