Composite Dilutes

All horses will be registered into their primary register as per Reg 4. Horses carrying additional dilution genes are eligible for optional registration in those registers with the exception of:

* palominos carrying other dilutions will be registered as those other dilutions, not as palominos * champagnes carrying a single copy of cream can only be registered as champagnes, not as palominos, buckskins or smoky blacks * pearls carrying cream can only be registered as pearls, not as palominos, buckskins or smoky blacks

Horses must be branded/micro chipped before classification day UNLESS they are already registered with a breed

society which registers unbranded stock. If Micro chipped, a copy of certificate must accompany this form Composite dilutes (dilutes that carry more than one dilution ie buckskin dun etc) may now be registered in each register for which they carry a dilution gene. Their primary registration remains as per the order of dominance as listed in the regulations so a buckskin dun will be registered as a dun first and if the owner wants the additional buckskin registration, this is available upon payment of $40 per additional dilution.

Photographs (PREFERRED) – must be emailed. Please ensure NS/OS/Front/Rear photos comply with the samples on the website.

Coloured photographs of each horse detailing brands, scars, markings, mane, tail etc MUST accompany this

form. Photographs must include:

• Full shots of near side / off side / front / rear, under belly (at least one shot to be taken from directly

underneath), near eye, off eye, open lips and show teeth from the side, stallions: testicles

• DUNS – close up of characteristics must be shown

• PALOMINOS - mane & tail must be fanned out / opened up for close inspection and photographing

Video / DVD possible not are photos if used be onlyshould - • to be taken in the daytime, preferably on a sunny day

• must show horse walking and trotting towards and away from the camera and trotting side on

• must show both sides, front, rear and underneath; these views to be taken from a distance of no more

than 2 metres; at least one photo must be close enough to see brands. Under belly footage to show

testicles in stallions

• all leg markings must be clearly shown from both sides, front and rear. If they extend above the top of

the knee / hock please specify as physical inspection may be deemed necessary.

• DUNS – close up of characteristics must be shown

• PALOMINOS - mane & tail must be fanned out / opened up for close inspection and videoing

• both eyes must be clearly shown in one view and then videoed close-up. If eyes are multi-coloured or

have iridescent patches please specify as horse may be ineligible for registration

• lips must be opened up / drawn back to show front teeth for close inspection and videoing side on.

Physical – only applicable where a horse has extended leg markings ie above the tops of the knees / hocks

in which case physical inspection may be mandatory or is suspected of having white belly splashes, parti

coloured eyes etc.
