understand that Melbourne VTS may place additional requirements on the vessel
obtain permission from the terminal operator (if applicable)
notify Melbourne VTS before testing engines following immobilisation (where applicable)
4. be aware of expected weather conditions for the period and continue to monitor weather forecasts(specifically for vessels carrying out immobilisation while at anchor).

The Master of a vessel will ensure Melbourne VTS is advised on +61 3 9644 9700 of the following:
Victorian Ports Corporation (Melbourne)
Pursuant to Harbour Master's Directions (11th Edition), it is mandatory for vessels within port waters to makeapplication to Melbourne VTS if it is intended to be immobilised.
