Instructions to Applicants 1. Please type ALL forms in the application. Be sure to sign forms whenever a
signature is required.
2. Ask two individuals unrelated to you (high school teacher, headmaster, counselor, minister, employer, supervisor, club sponsor, coach etc.) to submit a letter of reference on your behalf.
Letters must be submitted by the individual providing the reference as a pdf document, on letterhead.
Letters should be emailed and addressed to Dr. Rikesha L. Fry Brown, Director, Freddye T. Davy Honors College at [email protected].
Letter must be received on or before July 25, 2019
3. Ask a parent or guardian to submit a letter indicating their commitment to supporting you in this program.
Letter must include an original signature and contact information. Letter should be mailed with the application packet.
4. Include one High Definition photo (not a selfie).
5. Remember to provide ALL the required information when submitting your application.

7. The application is due by 4:45pm eastern on July 25, 2019.

Successful applicants will be invited to interview. All interviews will be held during NSO week.

Part V - Statement of Intent and Submission
The application presented here is indication of my desire and intention to become an active and engaged member of the Freddye T. Davy Honors College Ambassador program at Hampton University.
I understand that should my application be successful, I will be invited to interview with the Director and various members of the Honors College, to be held during New Student Orientation.
I understand that I am to register for ANY honors section of University 101 with a Monday 2:00pm schedule. I further understand that IF I am selected to participate I will be added to the Ambassador Breakout Section which meets Wednesdays at 3. Thus, I understand that my schedule should be arranged keeping the Monday 2pm AND Wednesday 3pm hours open.
I understand that this application is not a guarantee that I will be selected to participate in the Ambassador Program.
Further, I understand that if selected to participate, I will be required to:
Register for an Honors sections of University 101
Register for at least one honors general education course
Interact with prominent Hampton University Alumni and Community Members in the three-part Honors College Ambassador Workshop Series
Complete a 25 hour service project, and
Be honored at the Freddye T. Davy Honors College Ambassador Luncheon
Students who successfully complete the Ambassador Program requirements, and maintain a minimum 3.2 GPA will automatically be included invited to orientation for the spring induction class of the Freddye T. Davy Honors College!
