English ProficiencyStudents from non-English-speaking countries are expected to read, write, listen, and speak English for admissions into the program. Applicants, whose first language is not English, are required to take an English proficiency test as part of the application procedure. We recognize scores from the Educational Testing Service (ETS), written TOEFL or computer-based TOEFL, taken within past two years. Applicants should arrange for the results of these

tests to be sent to the Division of International & Continuing Education, National Tsing Hua University. For more information or to request that your scores be sent to us, contact TOEFL/TSE Services, PO Box 6561, Princeton, NJ 08541-6151, or visit the TOEFL website at http://www.toefl.org.If you do not have a TOEFL score, submit evidence of English proficiency (i.e. other test scores, the history of taking English courses, etc.)
Test of Management AptitudeThe Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is administrated by the Educational Testing Service (ETS) in USA as evidence of management aptitude. Applicants should arrange for the results of these tests to be sent to the Division of International & Continuing Education, National Tsing Hua University, including a photocopy of the score report in your application package. For more information or to request that your scores be sent to us, contact GMAT, Educational Testing Services, PO Box 6103, Princeton, NJ 08541-6103, or visit the GMAT website at http://www.gmat.org. If you do not have a GMAT score, submit other materials that can demonstrate your potential (i.e. GRE).
Transcript in the Sealed EnvelopePlease attach transcripts from all college, university or post-secondary educational institution (including dates & obtained degrees). Official documents should be sealed and stamped by the school registrar. The transcript is invalid, when the envelope is broken. If the school does not release these documents to applicants, please arrange shipment directly to the Division of International & Continuing Education. If the original language of the academic record and diploma is not English or Chinese, a certified English translation must accompany the original transcript. Official copies of credentials must be certified by a school administrative officer of the institution from which the degree was received.
RecommendationThree recommendations are required. The enclosed recommendation forms should be given to individuals who are familiar with your academic or professional work. They should be completely filled out and returned to the Division of International & Continuing Education in a sealed envelope within your package. Letters on the letterhead in sealed envelopes are accepted.

Essays
Describe your short-term and long-term career goals. Explain how your past experience with an IMBA from the NTHU will assist you in reaching these goals contribute (1,000 word maximum). Double-space your responses and use a minimum font size of 10.Please include any other information that you believe would be helpful to the Admissions Committee in considering your application. (250-word maximum)

1. Scope of the International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF-TAIWAN) Scholarship:a. Total scholarship will include housing, tuition fee, credit fee, insurance, book costs
and so on. b. Each student shall receive NT$15,000 per month (NT$180,000 per annum) as food
and miscellaneous living expense.c. Monthly allowance will include food and miscellaneous living expense.d. International students shall complete and successfully pass all courses and a

master thesis within the two-years period. If a student fails to finish the requirements for the master's degree within the stipulated time period, the scholarship provided by the ICDF-TAIWAN shall not be extended.
2. Graduate credits will be 45 credits, plus 4 credits, altogether this will be 49 credits.3. Graduate students are graded on a scale of 100 being the highest and 70 being the
passing grade. Required courses, if failed, must be repeated. 4. For any reason a graduate student cannot attend class or other required activities,
authorized leave of absence must be requested according to the school regulations.5. Merit-Based Awards: Merit-Based Awards for students with outstanding academic
performance. Using each semester as a unit, the students with an average grade better than 85 will be considered as applicants for the excellent academic performance award. The awards include NT$15,000 for the student with the best grade; NT$10,000 for the student with the second best grade; and NT$8,000 for the student with the third best grade. Merit-Based Award is sponsored by ICDF-TAIWAN.
6. Two graduate students of the same sex will be assigned to live in the same dormitory room. Observation of dormitory rules is a must.
7. In the event of issues or matters not mentioned in the preceding articles, relevant rules and regulations of the present program as well as those of the Ministry of Education and the National Tsing Hua University shall apply.
