The Endeavour Awards are a part of the Australia Awards initiative, which brings together, under a single recognisable brand, the Endeavour Awards run by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) and the Development Awards offered by Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID).    The Endeavour Awards is the Australian Government’s internationally competitive, merit‐based scholarship program providing opportunities for citizens of the Asia‐Pacific, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas to undertake study, research and professional development in Australia.  Awards are also available for Australians to undertake study, research and professional development abroad.  The Endeavour Awards aim to:  

• Develop ongoing educational, research and professional linkages between individuals, organisations and countries;  

• Provide opportunities for high achieving individuals to increase their skills and enhance their global awareness;  

• Contribute to Australia’s position as a high quality education and training provider, and leader in research and innovation; and  

• Increase the productivity of Australians through an international study, research or professional development experience.

Prime Minister’s  Australia  Asia  Incoming  Postgraduate  Award  The  top  20  ranked  doctoral applicants  for  the  Endeavour  Postgraduate  Award  from  India,  Indonesia,  Japan,  Malaysia, Republic of Korea, Singapore, The People’s Republic of China (including Hong Kong and Macau SARs),  Taiwan,  Thailand  and  Vietnam  will  be  offered  the  Prime  Minister’s  Australia  Asia Incoming  Postgraduate  Award  and  its  additional  benefits,  which  include  an  additional AUD$35,000  and  the  opportunity  to  participate  in  an  internship.   No  separate  application  is needed. 

     

Endeavour Research Fellowships (including *Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Research Fellowships)

An Endeavour Vocational Education and Training Award can provide you with a unique opportunity to take the next step in your study or career.

Valued at up to AUD$119,500, this Award enables you to study a vocational course at the Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree level in any field of study in Australia.

Vocational education and training provides work-related knowledge and skills for careers in practical, traditionally non-academic occupations. The courses undertaken as part of the Award should directly relate to the trade, occupation or ‘vocation’ in which you participate. These courses exclude degree and higher level programs normally delivered by universities.

Vocational education and training enhances employability by developing expertise in a specific field and equips learners with skills for a lifelong career.

two and a half years.• A monthly stipend, travel allowance and
