Apprenticeship Training A sustainable way to build your workforce and retain employees Hotel employers can benefit from a model that has seen enormous success in other industries. Apprenticeships are “learn while you earn” programs that save employer costs, improve operations, and lead to a well-skilled and diverse workforce. Here’s how it works: BEST runs a six-week housekeeping pre-apprenticeship program. Candidates are people very interested in the hospitality industry and are carefully vetted by way of multiple interviews, drug test, language test, referral check and more. Hospitality partners who helped develop the curriculum also assist with intake, assessments, guest training, hotel tours, and job shadowing. Program graduates continue as apprentices at partner hotels. BEST supports the employer and the associate with ongoing professional development and coaching. BEST graduates are eligible for 9-12 college credits at a local community college. Consider these benefits!
