No Horrendous Debts: Unlike the huge debts University students run up, when you start a Gen2 apprenticeship you actually get paid a wage.

Maximum Choice: We have a great choice of courses in subjects that employers are really looking for - not simply in the technical nuclear and engineering subjects for which Gen2 is recognised, but also in things like business studies and administration.

Why Gen2?

There’s time to make up Your Mind:You don’t have to start your training in September, in fact you can join some of our courses year-round. So if you’ve found it hard to get a job or aren’t enjoying Sixth Form, there IS another way forward with great career prospects.

£

Local Learning: With six sites; stretching from Ulverston to Carlisle, Workington to Warwick Bridge; there’s top quality training in some of the Country’s best facilities right on your doorstep - giving you the opportunity to stay at home whilst taking your first steps towards a great career.

There’s a Course for You: No matter what qualifications you left school with, there’s a Gen2 entry point to suit you; you can undertake a study programme, apprenticeships, or even a degree or another higher level course.

‘Real World’ Experience: Gen2 courses require a solid, trustworthy employer which Gen2 can help arrange for you. These are businesses who are actually looking to fill a skills gap - meaning that, unlike Uni, there is an extremely high post-training employment rate for Gen2 students.

Maximum Employability: The majority of Gen2 apprentices move directly into full-time employment immediately after they’ve completed their course - usually with their Cumbrian sponsor companies.

Top Rated for Training: Ofsted has accredited Gen2 as ‘Outstanding, Grade 1’ - the best training there is.
