In order to return to church we will need more Sunday morning volunteers than ever because we are changing the way we do worship to fit social distancing guidelines. We will need people to greet with smiles and waves, ushers to check people in and seat them, people to check tem-peratures with touchless ther-mometers and distribute masks, folks to help disinfect before and after worship, tech team members and more. If you’re willing to help, fill out our online form and let us know how you would like to help with our re-turn.

We want to make sure our partner schools know that the people of St. Paul are supporting them, especially during this uncertain time. We have sev-eral different ways that you can show your appre-ciation for teachers and school staff.
W R I TE A N O TE One easy way to share our support is to write a hand-written note. Let our teachers and school staff members know you’re praying for them, send them well wishes and support, thank them for what they do, etc. We’ve extended the deadline to drop off your notes until Tuesday, August 11. You can drop off notes outside the church office at any time in a plastic bin labeled "card drop off for teachers."
W E L CO M I NG C O M M I TTE E We are want to have groups welcome teachers with signs, waves and cheering as they head back to work.
• Largo Middle and Largo High groups will meet at their schools on Thurs, Aug. 13 at 8 AM.
• The Ponce De Leon Elementary group will meet at Ponce on Friday, August 14 at 8 AM.

G I F T B AG AS SE M B LY In addition to our hand-written notes, we are deliv-ering gift bags to each school. We need people to pick up a crate at the church and stuff bags at home. Each crate has materials to stuff 30 bags. You can pick up a crate at the church office during our office hours 9 AM to 4 PM. Drop assembled bags off at the church by the end of the day on Monday, Aug 10.

We’ve mentioned the Lunch Pals mentoring pro-gram, which is looking for mentors for Pinellas County kids before. They have decided to do the mentoring virtually, so it’s even easier to be a men-tor. By spending just 30-minutes a week with a child virtually, you can:

• Be a friend to a child who needs one
• Be inspired by the impact you have
