The Inspire Award is Presence Health’s newly created award to recognize community service.

– It will be given annually to honor a leader or organization that exemplifies the values that inspire Presence Health’s service to the community.

By now, each Ministry has selected a person or organization that has been inspirational in their specific service area.

– All local honorees are being honored at Ministry-based events through May.

A System Inspire Award will be given annually to a person or organization that has inspired communities across Illinois.

– The System honoree will be recognized at a signature event in June alongside all local honorees.

The 2014 System Honoree will be announced at the end of April.

Presence Health’s Fox River Valley Region and South Suburban Region recently completed successful Joint Commission surveys.

Surveyors consistently complimented Presence Health hospitals on their commitment to providing quality patient care while living the Mission and Values.

The Mid-City Region, Northwest Chicago Region and Lakeshore Regions successfully completed surveys in 2013 and the Central State Region will be surveyed this summer.

MyRecord Patient Portal

Integration & Growth

This month, hospitals in the Central State, South Suburban and Fox River Valley regions launched MyRecord, an online patient portal to help patients and their families manage their health care securely and easily.

Patients can view lab results, radiology reports, preventative health information, medication and more.

They can also download and print personal information from their Meditech electronic health record (EHR) and share data with other EHRs.

Patients will receive instructions for enrollment during their hospital visit.

This feature is similar to the MyChart patient portal, available to patients at hospitals in the Northwest Chicago, Mid-City Chicago and Lakeshore regions and throughout Presence Medical Group.

Presence announced that after extensive review, it plans to sell Presence OLR due to declining admissions and ongoing financial challenges. The company hopes to find a buyer who can provide the necessary investment and resources to continue to operate Presence OLR as an acute care facility. The Request for Proposal process started April 4.

Presence OLR’s Situation:

– Similar to other hospitals across the country, Presence OLR has suffered significant operating losses with much of the loss driven by industry changes that have resulted in fewer hospital admissions among other factors.

– Despite the extraordinary work by the entire Presence OLR team to drive down costs and increase efficiencies, Presence Health is unable to balance meeting the patient and community needs while continuing to invest in our employees and operations.

Update: Proposed Sale of Presence Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center
