Apr. 15 Fashion Show Apr. 22 Adventurers Trip to Brooklyn
Trisha Palmer 610-361-9547 [email protected] Greetings,
As April finally arrives, we bid adieu to the
snow and cold in our rear view mirrors!
Let’s hear it for Spring and special New-
comer events.
April 15th means the tax man cometh but
on that day we celebrate “Hats Off to Newcomer’s” with the Fash-
ion Show at the DuPont Country Club. There will be vendors, a
delicious lunch and our raffles featuring gift certificates from local
restaurants and much, much more. This year our own members
will be modeling fashions from Chicos and showing us how to
accessorize for different looks. The Board wants you to decide
where our fundraising should be directed. There will be a board
listing the top picks of our Board. You can choose!
On April 22nd, Adventurers will travel to The Brooklyn Botanical
Garden and Museum. Brooklyn Botanical Garden is a botanical
garden in the borough of Brooklyn in New York City. Founded in
1910 and located in the Prospect Park neighborhood, the 52-acre
garden includes a number of specialty "gardens within the Gar-
den," plant collections, and the Steinhardt Conservatory, which
houses the C.V. Starr Bonsai Museum, three climate-themed
plant pavilions, a white cast-iron and glass aquatic plant house,
and an art gallery. The Garden holds over 10,000 taxa of plants
and each year welcomes over 900,000 visitors from around the
world.
