Many dioceses right here in the United States do not have enough priests and trained lay ministers to serve their par-ishes. These dioceses are known as home missions. The Catholic Home Missions Appeal will take place this weekend in the second collection, and supports these dio-ceses by funding essential ministries, including seminary education and lay ministry training. Please be generous in this appeal and share your resources to strengthen the Church at home. Catholic Charities Sunday, May 9-10 How will you love your neighbor? We are called to love one another. Supporting Catholic Charities is a concrete way to put your faith into action as we reach out to our neighbors in need with compassion and respect for human life and dignity. You can help by looking for our enve-lopes during the second collection on Mother’s Day week-end, May 9-10. Thank you for your support!

The divine instinct to lay down and to take up is how the Lord Jesus shepherds us, modeling so well what it means to be divine that we find ourselves imitating him and growing in his likeness. That divine instinct is how the Spirit shepherds through us. ©2014, World Library Publications
