St. Peter Catholic Church Communications

It’s been over a year ago when we started the strategic

planning process. As a reminder, we posed important

questions like; How can we become more welcoming to

those looking for a church? How can we welcome new,

younger families or the fallen away Catholic to our

parish? How can we better serve current parishioners?

What programs and facilities do we need to meet

current parishioners’ needs? And possibly most

important, what do we need for growth and the

continued vibrancy of this parish?

After much planning, analysis, discussion, surveys and

listening sessions, a master plan eventually emerged.

Our last effort of a feasibility study indicated our parish

family understands and agrees we must boldly vision

and plan ahead. Parish leadership has continued to

discuss, pray and plan how best to implement the

program and facility elements of our master plan.

We are beginning to move forward. We are currently

working with the Diocese for the next approval in the

process. There are some 'behind the scenes activities'

occurring in preparation of next steps. Understand, we

are being very deliberate as we do not want to get too

far ahead of ourselves. In the mean time, it is

important for all of us to be patient as we go through

the process. You will be hearing more about our

Facility Project action plans in the near future.

The second road we are traveling has more to do with

actions in growing our Parish. There has been some

sub-committee work under way that will be presented

to the entire Pastoral Council later this month. We

expect further development of these plans to continue

through the Council and other Parishioner groups.

Growth and the continued vibrancy of the Parish will

involve all of us. It may prove to be challenging, but

very rewarding. You will be hearing more about this

soon as well.

This is an exciting time for our faith family as we make

plans that will benefit us now and for generations to

come!

Please continue to be patient and let us all pray

that we keep our hearts open to the call of Jesus in

our lives. AMEN!

Parish Facility Project Update - 4/7/19 Pope Francis requests our support for the Pontifical Good Friday Collection on April 19th. The wars, unrest and instability in the Holy Land have created complex political, religious and military challenges that have been especially hard on Christians. Your support helps the Church minister in parishes, provide Catholic schools, offer religious education, and preserve the sacred shrines. Become an instrument of peace through your generous contribution. For more information about Christians in the Holy Land, visit:

www.myfranciscan.org/good-friday.

PLEASE BE GENEROUS!

For more information about Christians in the Holy Land, visit www.myfranciscan.org/good-friday

There will be a Communal Penance service at St. Basil in South Haven on Tuesday, April 9 at 7:00 pm. Several priests will be present.

ST. PETER PARISH SAN FELIPE DE JESÚS

Un vistazo a San Felipe esta semana...

"'Vete y ya no vuelvas a pecar'." (Juan 8:11).

CORRESPONSABILIDAD DIARIA

Algunas personas famosas hacen mucho para ayudar a

varias causas que son significativas para ellos. A veces

espejo.

-Tracy Earl Welliver, MTS

Confesiones
