The SHARE menu for April is attached. Please place your orders on or before Monday, April 11th at the Information Center, online at www.mbcva.ws or by calling the church office (703-521-7663). SHARE April distribution date is Saturday, April 23. Extra hands are always welcome to assist in assembling the SHARE packages. You do not have to call anyone, just arrive at 6:00am in the Multipurpose Room. ************

There will be a meeting open to the Church on Tuesday evening April 12th at 7:00pm (in the sanctuary). This meeting is an opportunity to hear about the new partnership and service that will be operating out of the Family Life Center. We will have the architects and planners present to answer questions and also to display information. There will be a presentation to the Funshine Preschool parents earlier in the afternoon and then a presentation for Macedonia Baptist Church in the evening. ************ The next CHOSEN Women’s Ministry: Still I Rise Empowerment Series is Saturday, April 16 from 10am – 12 noon. The topic is Alzheimers and the presenters are Mary Walker, Caregiver and Linda Washington, Alzheimer’s Association. See the attached flyer for additional information.

************ Dr. Hamlin has accepted a preaching invitation for Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, 1401 Duke Street, Alexandria, VA in celebration of their 153rd Church Anniversary. Everyone is invited to accompany Dr. Hamlin on this engagement. ************ Old Time Religion! The Forerunners Ministry is presenting an Evening of Song on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 3:30pm. All are invited to worship in song. See the attached flyer for additional details. ************

The Recreation Ministry is excited about MBC’s Annual Church Picnic that will follow our worship service on Sunday, July 31. Additional details will be forthcoming, but mark this day of fellowship on your calendar.

Dr. Hamlin will be the guest preacher at Christian Way Baptist Church on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. for their Men’s Day Worship. Every-one is invited to be a part of this worship service.

Attached is information on what you need to know in Virginia as an adult guardian or conservatorship. This event will be on Thursday, May 5, 2016 and is a free informational law day event and is for anyone who is a power of attorney or guardian or may become one for their loved one in the future. ************ GENERATION NOW NEWSDESK

** Youth Sunday School (ages 3-18) is held at 9:30am every 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sunday. ** Vacation Bible School Kick Off!! Generation Now invites you to a Church-wide Family Day at Hershey Park in Hershey, PA on Saturday, July 16, 2016 for a day of fun, games, rides, shows, food and fellowship. The attached flyer has all the details, but you will want to reserve a seat for you and your family early at the Information Center. ATTENTION: The first bus is sold out. There are currently seats available on the second bus, so do not procrastinate — reserve your seat now!

The Transportation Ministry is seeking volunteer drivers for Sundays only, no CDL is required. If interested, please call the church office (703-521-7663 ext 11) to express your desire to become part of the Transportation Ministry.

************ The Event Planning Ministry is looking for servants to be a part of this Ministry. If you are interested in assisting with the planning of all MBC events, please send an email to eventplanning@mbcva.ws or contact the church office. ************ Building Christian Leadership

The Usher Ministry is currently seeking devoted servants to be a part of our Ministry. As Christians, and especially as Ushers, we are representing Christ. Colossians 3:17 says, "And whatever you do or say, let it be as a representative of Jesus Christ." Arlington Branch NAACP - President, Karen Nightengale Meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00pm at the Walter Reed Community Center, 2909 16th Street, S. Arlington, VA 22204, phone: 703-920-1100. All are welcome……..It takes everyone to lift up a community.

Attached are flyers and information for an Affordable Housing project that is opening soon. The registration for tenants will begin on Monday, April 11. This information is being provided so that persons may be able to pursue opportunities where applicable. Thank you.

The Arlington Lodge Song Festival program will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2016, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, at the Macedonia Baptist Church, Arlington Virginia.

The Northern Virginia Section of the National Council of Negro Women in sponsoring a FREE Health Fair event on April 30, 2016. See the attached flyer for additional details. ************

Bible Study Schedule 7pm

Each 1st Wednesday is Corporate Prayer and Praise. Everyone is encouraged and invited to attend.

Every 2nd Wednesday of the month Pastor’s Bible Study is open to everyone.

Every 3rd Wednesday of the month Pastor’s Bible Study is open to everyone.

Each 4th Wednesday is Young Adult Bible Study.

The 5th Wednesday of each month is Leadership Night. All leaders of MBC will meet with Pastor Hamlin.

If you permit them to leave you for restroom breaks, etc., they must return to you at an appropriate time and not be left unsupervised. We appreciate your cooperation.
