April proves to be just as exciting. As the weather warms up we will be heading

out more, enjoying the sunshine and learning about everything spring. The Week of the Young Child begins April

8th-12th, 2019. The purpose of the Week of the Young Child is to focus public

attention on the needs of young children and their families and to

support the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs. In the United States, there are about 23 million children between the ages of

birth through 5. Events and celebrations marking the Week of the Young Child

are designated to increase public awareness of some of the issues

affecting our youngest citizens. Some of these issues include quality childcare,

poverty, health care, and abuse.The Week of the Young Child is first and

foremost a grassroots celebration. Childrens Lighthouse Learning Center will

honor the week with activities and lessons that celebrate the children we

serve.

Nature. In math we will be learn about different shapes and sizes and for language and literacy we will focus on the letters X, Y and Z
