the structural design for the temporary stay cable system

by DEAL for use in erection of the balanced cantilever and span-by-span approaches.

McNary Bergeron & Associates assisted the contractor in procuring the contract by
redesigning two expensive steel bridges to be more economical
concrete structures. McNary Bergeron redesigned the bridge
from a steel tub-girder bridge to a precast segmental box
girder bridge, a change that also suited the owner because of the
extended design life and reduced maintenance. Construction
engineering services were also provided for the redesigned
structure through the casting and erection processes.

precast edge beam erection and arch rib lifting, and 2D and 3D integrated
shop drawings and working drawings for footings, piers, and superstructure
backspans and mainspan.

Two communities are served by this bridge when traveling from their homes to the main road in
order to get anywhere, including town, city, markets, and doctors.
The third community is set on the road side of the river but the school is on the other side. This
bridge allowed the children of this community the opportunity
to get safely to their school all year around.
