Idea, Process, Craft: Design Intent=Design Outcome

By uniting the natural process of observation with humanities’ attention to symbol, positive design arises to discover, retain, and create places without limits. The honesty in success, not to the architect, but rather the user, once more says yes to architecture. Thus the process reflected in architecture that seeks observation and optimism becomes a symbol in of itself, evolving architecture from an object to a subject making it once more worth believing in.

Green+Blue= Ferry Terminal

Ferry Terminal

Rejoin the current disconect of Jacksonville land mass, to its river front. The threshold of this current disconection takes place at rivers edge and the coinsiding ferry terminal service. The terminal will serve not only as a medium of translation between land and river physically, but also act as an environmental liaison, filtering the very water it services.

The reality of humanity is we have more in common at than we all seem to believe. Laughing is the perfect example. Quite similarly we all share the same streets that outline our urban centers. This projects goal was to reestablish this common ground found within our urban context.

Community Inspiration

Green Tactility: Green Tactitlity concept for the community of inspiration routed itself in the very creativity our client was founded in. A grid plan was derived to create a solid urban foundation, while we left the true magic to the spontaneity and impromptue creativity and urban life share so closely.

Project Discription:

Main Street Revival: This project utilized main street as a central focus, thus allowing further development to extend outward from main street in a series of “finger parks’” completing connection between an additional two nodes added in appropriate phases.

Project Discription:

The Digital Media Studio was an architectural response to the urban design portion of “Green Tactility” It was to serve as one of the main buildings in an art school campus located at the far end of the Green T asix. The building program responded to a multitude of functions, including a warped mixture of private and public interaction; how to best mix them appropriately. Additionaly, a heavy environmental focus was dedicated to this work.

2012: Co-founder of Esgani Freelance service that provides architectural graphics and graphic design services.

Gray’s Building & Restoration Inc. 2006-12: Designer & Draftsman: Designed and drafted various custom homes and additions, collaborating simultaneously with general contactor and client.

Carpenter: Completed framing of custom houses and additions. Custom door, window, cabinetry, and stair installation from scratch, with according mill work.
