WHVN Radio Station

As a group project theprogram Assigned was a television and broadcast studio. Located on North Carolina Centennial campus, the concept behind the design focused around the use of topographicelevation. With a half sunken building, the use of terracing allows for generous views out over the landscape creating a pleasant work environment.

Raleigh, North Carolina Food Incubator

North Carolina is nationally recognized as

an agricultural state. As hyper-growth

cities such as Raleigh continue to expand,

the need for access to local healthy food is

essential. The concept behind the layout is

public awareness. The focus is centered on

the busiest intersection to create an urban

plaza that is inviting to the public. With four

structures that house rentalable

kitchens, an education center, as well as a

cafe, form a central space that allows for

public interaction and community. This is a

space that truely announces Raleigh’s local

Public transportation is a cruical component to NC State. The

multiple routes overlap at this point resulting in a magnitude to buses crossing paths here. The concept behind the design was user

signanling which bus route has arrive. An innovative way to let the public know which bus is arriving to the stop.

The project is a study of space. Given restricted movements to shaping a cube the task was to create a space that successfully announced form and design.
