CONCEPT: REPRESENTING FRENCH IN INDONESIA Mixing French’s modern architecture style with local culture and climate in Indonesia.

Located in the hook of Jl. CIhampelas and Jl. Wastukancana, this place is very easy to be accessed due to the varied range of public transportation around this area. The strategic location gives a big opportunity for the cultural center to be noticed in Bandung’s ar-chitecture.

CIRCULATION CONCEPT

Dividing 2 building based on its noise intensity and public -private use with efficient circulation inside the building complex

STRATEGIC SITE LOCATION

Semi-private building, less noisy activities (French course, library)

Public building, more noisy activities (auditorium, plaza)

All 3D vizualisations are made and rendered with Revit Architecture.

WHAT IS THIS?

French Cultural Center (Central Culturel Francais / CCF) is an organization providing information about French for Indonesia. Besides that, CCF also has its main activities: French language course, cultural ap-preciation (exhibition and performances), library, and consular. The CCF building in Bandung can’t ac-commodate those activities properly due to the small building size and crowded environment. That’s why we have this newly designed building here.

WHAT IS THIS?

The advancement of robotic technology has been progressing so fast, and the use of that technology could be very useful for the humankind. Intitut Teknologi 10 Nopember (ITS Surabaya) has been one of the pio-neers in robotic research & development, so ITS indends to build a new robotic facility. The facility itself will provide research facilities including teaching, seminars, and laboratory workings. ITS also wants to provide a place for robot contest and exhibition to share information between institutions and public.

MOVEMENT Dynamic form following the site’s orientation. The zoning is also moving from pub-lic (entrance) to private (backyards).

Cihampelas Apartment Architecture Design Studio 4 , 2010

Mentor : Boedi Dharma Sidi , Ir., MSA, Dr-Ing.

WHAT IS THIS?

The project took place in the ex-"Pemandian Cihampelas", one of the first swim-ming pool in Bandung. The task is to design an apartment building in 15 meters-height contoured land without removing the existing swimming pool. The site is also directly adjacent with Cikapundung river, which is a good potential for mak-ing a promenade.

WHAT IS THIS? This is a competition of making Hutama Karya Apartment in Jl. Biru Laut X, Cawang, Jakarta. The concept is to make a combination of 2 towers into one. The first tower is used as apartment, while the second one is used as condominium hotel. The first and second floor is used as commercial of-fice to give more provit to the building owner due to its strategic location in Cawang.

The design concept is mostly made by Budi Sumaatmaja as principal architect and Ihyan Toto as project manager.

In this project, I was responsible to make the section and plan drawing in AutoCAD, and doing finishing touch in Pho-toshop. The 3d model & rendering was made by Yudha Pratama.

Reytia Anindita WHAT IS THIS? Sunset Island is located in the heart of Bali metropolitan. Passed by the Setiabudi and Sunset Road, the location forms an island-like site in the middle of the road junction. The location is very strategic for commer-cial activities, therefore the client wants to have a modern spa & food-court with traditional concept.

ORGANIC FORM Expressing modernity, yet fitting into the site shape to reach the maximum building area.

TRADITIONAL TOUCH Roof garden as a traditional touch using Indonesian traditional roof form.

ORIENTATION ISSUE A building hole orientated to the round junction near the building

As intern here, mostly my job is to translate project manager’s sketch and the principal’s ideas into a plan drawings in AutoCAD and doing the touch-ups in Photoshop. The 3D modeling and rendering is made by Teguh Dwibowo.

68 SHS Mosque Renovation Jakarta, 2009

Client: Hasan (Physics Teacher in 68 SHS)

Client’s Brief:

The mosque is located in 68 SHS, Salemba, Jakarta. The client wanted to make a library on the 2nd floor that can be used for reading activi-ties, mentoring, etc. The mosque also has a problem with its circula-tion between clean and dirty area. According to that brief, I made a library design on the 2nd floor and change the toilet and ablution room.

This project is still on progress of revision. All 3D modellings are made with SketchUp and touched up in Photoshop.
